I genuinely appreciate that you seem to understand where I'm coming from. That said, for my part I'd prefer if the matter died here- or at least, my part in it, as either poster or subject. People will think what they want to think, and right or wrong, it's a hassle that doesn't benefit the thread overall.Like, please excuse the person that knows three languages, but reading this, nothing about this says or mentions other people or how they play. This wasn't an attack on you or anyone. This reads to me that he has FOMO, which, he explicitly states in a later post. Which, who doesn't?
And I haven't said you've said that either. I'm not sure where you're getting that from.
That's not what he said though. That may be what *you* think he's saying. But he's not. He asked for it as "complete as possible". As in, let's say, there's a story line of Rogue finally accepting that it's okay for people to know she likes children's cartoons in the monogamous route, and that there isn't the same level of fullness or equivalent (but not necessarily the same) in the poly route, he would feel bummed out. If fact, he's not even asking for a one-to-one equivalent. He literally wrote:
And, above all else, he's just like "Hey, I know this doesn't mean much but, here's my opinion." You're somehow taking his one, meek and polite, opinion, which was then voted out, and then jumped down this throat for voicing it. Like, take a step back, take a deep breath. I know you're not usually like this. If the game won't do it, I'll handle it. You know that. Someone expressing their opinion isn't a threat to you any more than you expressing your opinion is a threat to me. No need for the name calling. No need to demean other people. I'll handle this request when the time comes.
Noted. Like I said, if/when the time comes, I'll see what I can do to make something in the cheat injector so one doesn't miss out on any monogamous content. Again, if for no other reason than I myself wanting that option. Also again, depending on how the coding turns out. All signs says it should be possible, but you never know what might happen with code in the future so I can't guarantee anything.I genuinely appreciate that you seem to understand where I'm coming from. Had this thought the other day too. With each release, you are going to have to grind for that friendship/trust/love just to get said girl into possible harem or such. In practice, with girls like Storm and Emma, and likely others, it makes sense for them to be 'down the road with the story' progressions like how Storm already is. But with the others, it's going to add more to the grind.I think my only concern right now is the system for unlocking being able to date a new girl when your going for all the girls. It's a good and balanced system when your dealing with just a couple girls but it might be a bit much with more.
When they add the new 3 new girls you will have to grind the friendship something like 12 times ( 3 for the first, 4 for the second, and 5 for the last one )? to unlock dating all 3 new girls. And something like 39 times when you have 12 girls and 3 more are added. Note I'm not great with math.
I'm hoping they make it that a fair amount of the girls start okay with it if they make sense for it, or at least require little effort. And only the ones that canonically don't get along with others require more work to establish that trust.
I'm fine with grinding out the Trust/love stats for each love interest. I get that because that is representative of the relationship null has with that love interest. And introducing new love interest into the game kinda makes entering a new chapter that more significant.Had this thought the other day too. One possible solution would be to intro them back in Chapter 1 (example Dazzler/Jubes/Psylocke/Kitty) and have them present to work with to grind on their stats and such right from the beginning, and to simply have them be else where during each arcs conclusion.
Example: Juggernaut's first meeting. Could say that Jubes was with others off campus, Kitty was helping others, etc.
Mall Fisasco: Considering how everyone was busy, well that would be remedied easy.
Riot: Certain others were away on a mission or such and they just heard about their boyfriend getting sent to the hospital, again.
Granted, you would already be doing extra work to grind out relationships from the get go, but at the same time they would atleast be present and available to work on and establish things 'early' on rather than with every update arc, rinse-repeat, and hope said new girl doesn't enter the room while I'm balls deep in Rogue and Jean at the same time and get anggy. Though I suspect Kitty would be down for watching...
I mean to some extent there are some pre established relationships with some of the girls. Kinda hinted that Rogue and Storm are besties, and if I am not mistaken Dazzler to some measure too. But I do agree, having to grind friendship mainly will be the biggest bitch.I'm fine with grinding out the Trust/love stats for each love interest. But having each new chapter add 3 more stats per love interest I need to max out as well. I feel like a lot of that should fall on the individual girls being able to make friends with each other and only needing my intervention if they don't get along initially.
This is the classic summation problem (add all numbers from 1 to n. i.e. 1+2+3+4+5...+n). So the total number of relationships that needs to be built, if n is the number of girls, is n(n-1)/2. Which means it's an exponential increase as more character gets added. Just to illustrate how fast this can grow, assume someone downloads and plays this game for the first time on chapter 3, and chapter 3 has just 1 new character (for a total of 7 characters), that's 21 relationships to grind. At 9 characters, that's 36. I believe events like pool parties and BBQ parties will help since you can build friendship among a lot of characters all at once. But yeah, as the number grows, if the devs want to keep the poly route not a massive grind, some things will have to be adjusted. Maybe some characters already friends with other's. Maybe like you suggested, as time goes on, they'll naturally make friends with each other. Maybe they'll increase the rate of friendship per event. Who knows? But, worse comes to worse, this is exactly why I made the cheat injector since I knew this was going to be a problem. When they add the new 3 new girls you will have to grind the friendship something like 12 times ( 3 for the first, 4 for the second, and 5 for the last one )? to unlock dating all 3 new girls. I'd still much rather Jubes use her cartoon introduction. Being attacked by a sentinel at the mall appeals to me way more than walking into a random portal to a dude being crucified.I got mixed feedback on this. Some people want to handwave this like the Brood Saga, some want the sandbox to switch to Australia for a season.
Oh yeah, once we start getting to chapter 3/late chapter 2, we're going to be working on ludicrous amounts of dialogue and scenes for each update. We're still in the planning stage for the first part of chapter 2, but from the discussions we've had so far, it doesn't take a genius to work out we're going to very quickly get to the point where each season is going to be at least as big as chapter 1 in its entirety, and it's only going to get exponentially bigger from there.I simultaneously envy and also pity Shiny and the rest of creative...living the dream of writing what you want...while also having to deal with...actually writing it.
SO MUCH DIALOGUE IS GOING TO BE WRITTEN FOR THIS GAME, and that's not even considering unique character interactions, mono-specific interactions, OR THE MAIN PLOT.
I now see why the game has more people dedicated to being writers than any other creative position in the credits. As soon as my writer's brain switched on and started crunching the numbers of all the arcs within arcs, and slice of life events in this game-
Some of which will also be dedicated to the bro characters-
My brain started collapsing under the sheer density of text that this game is gonna reach one day.
She can be sane as long as she is getting a good enough dicking, Jean is always a psycho.I beg you pardon?

Jean might get a bit basket case with the phoenix or getting power hungry, but for crazy bitches in the mutant world, theres an undisputed queen.
I have read over a hundred issues of Uncanny X-Men in less than a week.Man, you for sure went on a crazy ass travel in the comics really quick, good on you buddy im proud of ya.
If you haven't seen it already, I didI have read over a hundred issues of Uncanny X-Men in less than a week.
I am still completely lost on comic lore because they keep spinning stuff off into seperate issues or entirely new lines.
I've got an old what if tie in for the infinity gauntlet where Thanos wins and keeps the silver surfer around to show off how evil he is. Sometimes the separate issues just don't matter.I have read over a hundred issues of Uncanny X-Men in less than a week.
