Its not marked as abandoned and as this is the last update I think the chances of it becoming abandoned are extremely low
I think "last" as in "most recent" was meant.

Happy holidays everyone! I just want to check in with you all and let you know where I'm at with the new release. I'm just wrapping up the main "big" scene of this release. I then have few smaller scenes to do, but that's it! So, I can pretty confidently say that I expect the next release to be out on Jan 15, 2025. I was really hoping to get it done by the end of the year, but I don't want to set an unrealistic expectation for you all. I will have one or two more sneak peeks before then as well!

Great news on a release date! There was bound to be a longer wait for this update due to the completely new outfit: every incidental/interstitial visual will have had to be reworked and rerendered, along with the logic changes to go with them.
I'll wait for your work patiently and eagerly, AS LONG AS IT TAKES
