Aye, but I feel the distorted bimbo form is pushing the needle too fay into the other direction. Nothing against big breasts, but most of the bimbos in the game look like somebody tripped and fell over the size sliders for the entire body and face. It's too much of an unattractive caricature.

My personal theory is the absurd proportions is a combination of catering and ease of drawing: On average, people will say they prefer big boobs and big butts. They might not mean they prefer oversized boobs and butts, but they'll be a lot more forgiving of them. And in make them oversized you can better gloss over mistakes in body proportions, details, etc and prime people to ignore any mistakes they see as well because it's not supposed to be realistic. Additionally it makes it easier to 'frame' scenes as you have very clear and dominant focal points. More reasonably proportioned anime girls probably don't benefit from this which makes the artist's work harder.
Disclaimer: I am neither an artist, nor involved in the anime/hentai industries in any way other than casual enjoyment. The above theory might as well be some crackpot shit I found in a public bathroom stall. But it sounds truthy enough for me to believe people aren't just all a bunch of hopeless morons. I mean, they are, but not because of this.

My guess is that one reason to create busty characters is to emphasize that they're mature. To prevent moderators deeming those games too loli. But all too many devs take that too far, alas.
