well there are for sure other options for a resurrection for vampires in that mystical world that where burnt to ash by the sun.
capturing the soul is fine of its own,but after that it could have been handled differend instead of sacrifying one of the MC children to bring back his "true love".

why make it so complicated???
i does not need to be.....
how i see it they could have plenty of rituals for every kind of things so why not use that??
an ancient ritual that was not used or is forbitten for a few thousand years???
i mean we are talking about Adam and Eve here the beginning of Human Kind,so everything should be possible.
the preparation could be so complicated that it takes a few years or something like that......
Sacrificing the children?

The children didn't die. The soul (?) went back to the wheel, and Alexis soul took it's place. No one died.

This is the ritual. This is what will take many years. Until Judith returns the ring, where Alexis memories are bound to the girl that carries her soul.

I think you are focusing on the wrong details.

Peace :)

oh don´t they???
they grow up,developing an personality, feelings, emotions, and all that gets to replaced with getting back the "forgotten" parts when the "time is right".
pulling a soul out of a living body and then giving it to a soul of a "loved" one.
don´t know about that but an unborn child is a loved one too for the FATHER.
yup of course my details are wrong

however, there are still other ways to resurrect an vampire that was burnt to ash.

Hmmm... you really aren't reading the situation correctly. The children had a soul, that soul wasn't extinguished, it simply was returned to the wheel. As you say, an Unborn children, with no memories, no life, no emotions, no feelings. Replaced with another soul, with no memories, no life, no emotions, no feelings.

I think you are conflating reality with a fantasy. The FATHER doesn't even know they exist yet. From what we are told, he isn't even supposed to know ever.

With Alexis death, there were 2 options, either let her soul go, lose her memories, her personality, everything that made her, her. Or. Use Lilith«s power, capture the soul, extract Alexis from it, bind that into the ring, and let Eve replace one of MC's children unborn soul with Alexis's one. The late one was the chosen for the single reason that it was the fastest way that Alexis could be returned to life. The other option could take a very, very long time.

This was done for the story, for the single reason that this isn't supposed to go 300 years into the future waiting for Alexis soul to come back on another body that would not fulfill the prophecy.

Best regards.

Peace :/

I think you're looking at it too shallowly. It would ultimately be like losing a child or sacrificing it in exchange. There would be a lot of confused and conflicting emotions from both parents.

It would be one thing if a new child was created, with all parties being knowing and willing participants going into it, somewhat like a surrogacy, but not usurping an already created/growing child.

already created/growing child.
Maybe you should brush up on what a 6 weeks old fetus is. That's "the child". Doesn't even has neurons.

Or are you under the impression that a mother carrying twins, fully formed and grown, has as flat a belly as is shown?

This is getting silly now...

1- The child didn't die. It's "body" was untouched.
2- What was replaced was a "soul" whatever the fuck that even is. The original one was sent back to be reborn somewhere else.
3- There was NO sacrifice. That would require death, and none of that happened.
4- That specific child was chosen due to it being the sole female daughter of Rob. It is relevant and necessary.
5- Eve knew that all of this would happen, worked everything to make it happen, it HAS purpose.

I am not taking this shallowly, I am reading a story, and UNDERSTANDING it. You and the other user, are NOT. You are making a judgement based on a erroneous interpretation of what is going on.

Peace :/

I haven't started this yet, but, this topic of fetuses, well, it touches a nerve for me. Some people believe fetuses are a person from the moment of conception. I am am one of those and I won't argue with anyone over it. They can believe as they wish. I also believe in souls. Anyway, this can swiftly go off-topic.

It's a matter of perspective. Objectively speaking, you are absolutely right. To somebody with no intention of carrying that child to term, you are absolutely right. However, to somebody that does or would intend to carry the child to term, it's a different matter. Miscarriages, for instance, can destroy people.

1- The child didn't die. It's "body" was untouched.
2- What was replaced was a "soul" whatever the fuck that even is. The original one was sent back to be reborn somewhere else.

5- Eve knew that all of this would happen, worked everything to make it happen, it HAS purpose.
Again, it's far more complex than that. It's like Scroedingers child. It is now, both their child, but at the same time, not their child, but a friend and lover. The whole relationship dynamic becomes a complete mess.

It's ultimately been turned into a vessel for another. If it had been created with that intention in mind, somewhat like a surrogacy, there would be less of an issue, but that isn't the case here.

Using similar arguments as you have; if somebody were to download and store your mind/memories/"soul" onto some kind of storage device and implant those of another person into your body, it wouldn't be a sacrifice, as that would require death and none of that happened.

Eve knowing all of this would happen and it having "purpose" is irrelevant. The ones directly involved didn't/don't.

There's also the factor that, to my recollection, he is supposedly unable to father children after becoming a vampire. His swimmers are supposedly dead in the water. Whether or not that is or will remain the case for him, I don't know.

Uncle Loco I took this as far as I can.

What these people are arguing are points unrelated to the story, that I can't argue here without getting banned.

All I can tell all of you, is what is IN the story. I am NOT making judgements or statements. Yet, you want to discuss this on subjects that this forum is NOT equipped to discuss. As far as I am aware, discussing ANY of those subjects is a big no-no here.

So, I will remove myself from this discussion. Not because I don't have answers, but because I don't think we are in the right place to discuss it. No, I will not discuss this in private either.

Some points that may be helpful to retain while arguing these themes:
- Don't presume anyone's religion.
- Don't presume anyone's geographical location.
- Don't presume anyone's political leanings.
- Understand that even when all that is equal, anyone MAY have a wildly different approach to everything.

Out of respect for the story's author, I have decided if anything else is to be said about this, it is NOT by me.

Have a good one!

Peace :)

So, when I going through the games that was posted for the daily batch from here, all I saw at first was this was a new game, so as normal, I placed in the See About Adding folder. That's where I see if any of the games that the Universal Mods work with that I decide if I want to put them on my Games To Play List. So I could get through the batch of games to download as quickly as possible, didn't bother reading any more than just it was a new game. Needless to say, imagine my shock when I unrarred and started this game up to see those two from The List greeting me to this game. Yeah, that was when I decided right then and there to add for tonight's gaming session. Now, got caught up with the Dev on this game. This side game to The List so far seems less Vampire The Masquerade and more Wizarding World of Hogwarts. Interesting choice in doing that. Not a bad choice mind you, just interesting. Curious to see where this goes now. And thank you, enjoyed this first chapter!!!

Good idea to bow out. The abortion is murder/fetus is a person crowd aren't exactly reasonable people. I mean it's a fictional fetus they are getting up in arms about ffs. I think Ben Affleck said it best.

First of all Uncle Loco look me in the eyes and tell me nothing will happen to Rose (or Izzy)

There is a mistake in the scene regarding Alexis' soul, it's a fact that redheads don't have souls.

I promise that there will be no more deaths to any character that is in the harem, sidegirl, or optional harem going forward. This goes for The List, The Perfect Town, The List 2, and the two other games planned.
