I get the same bug. You can "ignore" past it and you still get the observation perk. Same thing happens with the fireball book.

I don't understand, I just try to reproduce the bug, but no problem to read the 2 books, no errors, did you do something before read it ?

Nvm, the bug was only in the english version. Corriged.

It's not only the first books, english version as a whole is a bugged mess rn. A lot of untranslated stuff like almost every description of an item, and skill. A lot of french words here and there, like address instead of dexternity, instead of tower we also had some other word and there are a lot more. Some sentences are literally fully in french and because of that you get a lot of script errors indicating a missing tl like a choice where you tell Willy to mind his own business. Also the girl Andrea is a pure bug, clicking on her portrait breaking the game, playing dice with her and winning also giving error. Demon chick has a palading picture for some reason in the inventory. Overall this release is super bugged and it needs a thorough check by the dev, because i had like 20 errors i had to ignore untill i dropped the game. Also the constant squeaking sound during the dev talk is really annoying man, dial it down.

I think this is largely useful feedback but one note, "It's still in French" is not a bug and Mirrodin did mention he needs an English proofreader so that will hopefully be fixed soon. There definitely are a lot of bugs but he's working on them, definitely check out the Discord if you're interested in seeing what he knows about:

Forgot the horrible sound for the tuto, tuto module is in stade of massive rework (will have is own panel). You gave me some specific misstranslation, duly noted.

Oh right i forgot about the tutorial, i would really appreciate if you expand it in the future versions, especially inventory tabs. There is a tab where you can check the progress of Ishaahry and it's a complete mystery for newcomers. The fact that the map and ui there also untranslated doesn't help at all. Same with unit edit tab: untranslated and no explanation. Also the alchemy module needs some explanation and it's bugged for me. When i press on the furnace or whatever that thing is in the tower, it doesn't work and opens only when you exit the tower, small bug but still.

In the early game, buy breakfast or the takeaway breads at the bakery. If you follow the main quest "The Lord's Return" you'll get a place to sleep after a bit.

I was carried away by my enthusiasm and my desire to create a real adventure.

Fuck me.

To be serious, I don't regret a thing, as soon as most of the bugs are worked out, I'll be proud of what I've done on it. But there's still a long way to go.

However your game is a buggy mess, it literally unplayable, and I don't mean that as in it's annoying so I don't want to play it, I mean literally can't play because the game doesn't allow me to go past a certain point. The latest game ending bug I found is this loop of errors when the red demon lady sends her 5th and 6th circle of power army. I get continued errors, It doesn't progress like u can just ignore it, nor does it like crash. Here are SOME of the txt files.

Have you ever thought about remastering the game, maybe starting from the scratch, technically wise ofc. Don't change anything from the like actual game, because that's great.

In some way, all the bug you had post, is the same error, and consider the endgame not reworked. I finish the hotfix and continue polish/add content to the midgame.

Ok I wanted to let u know about another bug that randomly appears that makes the game quit to main menu. It's when you use ur ability to generate organic mater.
And the worst bug is the fact that even though you can conquer the whole forest it still doesn't acknowledge the fact that you captured the trade route and you thus you can't rob caravans => you can't get the wine for the penis => game over. I had to use cheats to get penis and had to use unren for that and because of that I think I got the errors with the fight. Before I had fights with those guys and no errors.. I did get one shot tho.

there is, but it bugs out when the red demon lady sends her army after you, you can't even fight the battle. It just breaks the game. So it's not worth it, but if you want to do it anyways..

You can add some of the items with buggy recipes (arm, penis) top your inventory like this:

inventaire_joueur.acheter(bras_humain_masculin,1)
inventaire_joueur.acheter(penis_humain_masculin,1)

You can find which item is which by checking the name in the array:
inventaire_joueur.objets[1].nom
And you can change the amount you have with this:
inventaire_joueur.objets[1].nb=5

I have an issue with getting my tower built. I chose not to talk to the dwarf until i had enough gold. so when I got to speak to him about building the tower he asks if I have the money and it says none gold needed. So I went back and started that part over from an older save but after I gave him the money he disappeared for 3 days and now hes back in the tavern and I get this
