Any chance of posting some of the preview photos from the patreon posts this past year? this thread has become extremely dry...

I don't know if you communicate with the dev, but I don't think I'm alone in saying a few sex animation scenes would be great.
Someone mentioned it earlier to him after a bit of back and forth this was the response.

"I do actually use an animation framework (Dragonbones) for some of the enemies, but I didn't make the animations myself. I may try out some animated scenes later in the game, but I doubt I'll add little animated flourishes to the game itself at this point."- Proxxie

For clarity, the 'animated flourishes' he mentions were someone's suggestion of little passive animations to character portraits and the like. At any rate, it's been discussed, but I can't imagine he'll have time to pull off scene animations before he finishes his backlog of other things he wants to add to the game.

I check the Patreon multiple times a day like the spiritually corrupted autist that I am, so I'll be sure to keep you posted. Unfortunately nothing new has been said since last time I spoke about it.

New post on Patreon. Just confirms that the new embiggened quest is big, but that he likes where it's going.

Also he's decided to use a different convention for how the inside of buildings are presented, from now on the bottom-most walls of all structures won't be visible when inside them. He say's he'll update the earlier parts of the game in this regard in the .11 patch.

Once again this looks to be an update where the player spends time playing a game that uses more 1990's style graphics than the great characters the dev created. It would be great if he would combine his quests using his images instead of the stock cartoonish ones that really don't do the game justice.
Why include in the narrative the blonde girl has a new sexier outfit if you may see it in an image of it. Instead the player spends most of the time looking at some canned chibi characters stock images shoehorned into the game that are so generic they detract from the game's potential.

Again I have to disagree on this particular point, I like Proxxie's vision of how the game should be even if I don't like his work ethic.

I also need to ask about this sentence, "Why include in the narrative the blonde girl has a new sexier outfit if you may see it in an image of it."

I don't quite understand unless you forgot a 'not' somewhere in there. Assuming that's the case Proxxie added in an outfit viewer for all clothing options offered in the game. Otherwise I don't quite know what you're after. If an 'only' is missing I more understand your misgivings.

But Proxxie has a good aesthetic eye, unfortunately coupled with an obsessive streak. So the more run of the mill day to day stuff that involves his renders the longer releases will come at little fappable or gameplay value to me. If he is editing pantyless top-on expression number 57 for Alex and 117 for Anna and spending 4 months(years?) getting the lighting and saturation 'just right' by following a rabbit hole that led him to learn binary, then I am an unhappy man.

I understand that in this scenario I have surrendered to this eccentricity of his, however there are certain parts of human character that can be shepherded and certain parts that must be surrendered to. I want to make him better at what he's doing, but causing him to value beauty less, or to care about spiritless expedience more, are not the appropriate angles of approach. We wouldn't be here discussing a year plus update wait if Proxxie didn't have these appetites.

The more opportunity to 'polish' this man is given in regards to aesthetic perfection the longer the updates will take. I admire his striving towards a perfect expression of his aesthetic ideal but at the same time admonish his folly in the execution of this.

The game could be better, in a certain sense, if it were flush with this man's 3D renders, but having been unfortunately exposed to the core of this man's spirit by a 3+ year long trial of experiencing what he values, how he motivates himself, and what leads him astray, I can confidently say that this suggestion would be the worst possible trap for him.

The longer the game goes on the more the images expressed in it say "This is what I see as beautiful" and to a healthily proud man with an eye for beauty each image 'presents ones neck' so to speak. It invites criticism, not of simply technique, but of aim.

I more than understand his cautious behavior in response to this, but he obviously needs to be habituated into healthier work habits before he is ready to 'bear himself' constantly. He needs the sort of confidence that comes with overwhelming unblemished success. As of now that medicine is at least 3 (normally spaced) updates away. So I unfortunately can't advocate for changes of this kind until he seems ready to give them.

I actually like the character asset choice...they are quite cute. Not everything has to be realistic looking. I do agree with the you on the clothing though.
I get what you are saying but I really do like the anime-ish look of the girls in the game.

Sorry.

Shame he can't focus on what is central to the project and what is extraneous.
I've seen games flush with renders that are lackluster or simply packages of ready mades. This art is as unique as the dialogue is amusing and in this case more would be better.

ok stupid question.
One cow in the barn. One cow outside on the same location. Third cow behind the fence on location with home and i cant reach it. How do i get it or is there any other cow???
