Multiple people have asked him on his patreon to simply release now without the dialogue. In fact nearly every post is just "release it now, we don't care" But these messages have all been conspicuously ignored.
The only reason I can guess is that it's even less done than he says, and he keeps procrastination-cycling by guessing he can get done what's left, being wrong, then giving himself more time.
This is even more insulting based on how many times he 'guessed' it would be out in a week or two days. According to him he has been a few days of giving a shit away for months. This after cutting out multiple parts of the update.
He's deeply sick, and his audience refusing to ever call him out on it means he'll never get better.

Tbh,i don't even care about the game anymore,i just come to this thread to get a couple of laughs. Most replies are better written than half of the AAA game reviews or discussions out there.

Before version .6 were updates coming out with some level of consistency? Or has this guy always been this inept at time management? Is there seriously no solution in this infinite stalemate of lazy dev vs stalwart diehard patrons? I mean could patreon implement policies to stop this "milking the pay-pigs" or is that intervening too far into the free market. As hard as it is to say because this game holds a special place in my heart, I'd rather see this game get abandoned than continue this never ending nightmare of development hell.
Proxxie usually had 2-4 months of development before they released an update. Then they started to REALLY slow down, though. I quit being a sub to them after i had to wait nearly a year for the 0.8 update. Which was the latest update. Which was released in August last year. Blows my mind that Proxxie is still getting an income from Patreon tbh.

I wish, knowing Proxxie I think they might be mostly homebrew. But who can be sure, a blend would make the most sense considering how difficult it is for a novice to add the appropriate 'bones' or whatever they are called to 3D models. Regardless only two artists I have ever seen have had styles even vaguely similar to Proxxie, and they arrived on the scene later with different aims and lesser quality. I'm p sure there isn't a cookie cutter way to imitate his style, unfortunate though that may be.
Also this isn't news, but still no update on the upcoming patch. The amount of "definitely less than X" followed by weeks of silent delay increases in absurdity by not only degree but repetition every single day.
A more cynical man might assume this was an experiment in mass gaslighting, but I have unfortunately been shown otherwise.
This man could take ten years to release this update, every single day posting how justified his critics are, and how small and insignificant the 'last thing that needs doing' is, and he'd still ban anyone that complains and drag it out as if nothing happened. The doublethink exceeds Patrick star receiving his wallet from Manray in a way I never thought could reach the real world of sane human actors.

It was BS what happened to me i was just trying to find out when it would be released. But when i called him out on it he snow flacked the shit out of me and banned me, and IM PAYING HIM, and he has the audacity to ban someone who is paying him because he couldn't answer a single simple question. I look everyday waiting for this update so for anyone who is a patron please post a link it would mean the world to me. I tried fighting for u guys and it cost me my patron pls learn from this lesson.
He's using DAZ Studio models, I recognize the hair and some assets, but the models themselves don't look like anything I saw in the program.
Other authors generally use "cartoonize" or "the girl" as base models/morphs, which in my opinion are much uglier than the Proteus Effect models.

"Guys, all of my critics are totally justified since by all possible accounts I have failed miserably even on the most ridiculous exaggerations of my own standards many times over. Also, anyone who expresses malcontent will be banned if it stresses me out, which it increasingly does based on how justified it is...
That stuff is icky and hurts my feelings, just like when the doctor tells me to do less heroin. Luckily I'm in charge here, and can just ban people who say these evil things. If I can fire the doctor he's wrong about medical advice. The end. God bless ;D"

I've all but given up hope on getting anything at all out of proxxie now. Prove me wrong by releasing something.
The analogies here are absolutely hilarious though and actually keep me coming back.
