The problem is only when you saved the game at the last part of v12.11 (I have this problem too).nope i had no issues
If you saved a few before the last part of v12.11, it's no problem. I don't want to redo my saves again (the dev already broke this game 2 or 3 times, I don't remember). I hope the dev will fixe it in the next version.
That has nothing to do with the developer. That is solely down to F95zone and the download hosts that the uploaders are now prioritizing.
as much as I like this game, I am fucking tired of trying to load a save with every update only to get kicked back to main menu and restart the whole game. this is absolute dogshit. holy fucking shit, dev, fix this crap

I don't know which one you mean, but I'm assuming you mean the sharing scene with "Sir John." You enter the scene when Kari and/or Lois are in "whore" status, preferably "yellow" status (true whore)!

When I have problems with saves in VNs, a proven solution is to save each update and path separately. If a save is corrupted, you can revert to an earlier save.

Lois's status: Exclusive slut and submissive;
this is easily achieved in London by fucking her in a hotel room and then, on the plane, selecting "Exclusive slut" and then "submissive." Then you train her (don't be squeamish). When it comes to the date (dinner), you choose to follow the doctor's advice. Now, you may not choose the room at the reception!
Edit: I remember a "yellow" choice after Lois comes out of the hospital and whether you want to reconsider your relationship with her

I'm not getting a traceback error. I load the save and it kicks me back to the main menu. it pisses me off because it means I have to start all over again and I don't remember all the choices I've made

Do you not have any autosaves from before? I was able to use an autosave from when Kari arrived (after the plane incident) and it worked just fine. Or are you using a mod? If you're using a mod, then yeah, your saves will probably break. This game has never been very mod friendly.
I'm using the mod but even then, that shouldn't be a problem unless dev is intentionally making it a problem or doesn't care enough to fix it

Not the dev's fault. You're using a modded game. Can't blame them for that. I don't mod my game and had no trouble just loading up an autosave.

You're not "punished" for using it. The game doesn't naturally support a walkthrough mod. It's the modders who alter the game to make their mod work. The dev has nothing to do with any of that. A dev isn't at fault because someone else modified their game and changed their code to make the mod work. That's all on the modder. And if your game/save breaks because of that, the dev can't be held responsible for it.
Playing the game without unofficial modifications isn't a punishment. When you mod their game, you're taking the risk of breaking it by adding stuff that the game was never designed for. This is true for any game, not just visual novels.
If you absolutely must have some kind of mod, use URM. It's a universal mod for all Ren'Py games. Completely safe and won't break your saves/game. Doesn't mess with the game files and you don't need to wait for an update when your game updates. Just toss it in your game folder and it is always good to go.
