SO I'm old I guess and I totally can't figure it out (for the ones your not subscribed to anyways). If anyone can assist me or whatever, it'll be much appreciatedDid you know I put up a TUTORIAL on adding your favorite patreon to Yiff.party? Click here to check it out.
Scroll to to the top of the page to learn ALL of my dirty CC tricks! Cheers =D
In my case, I've found a high number of swatches to be the number 1 factor behind most of the gigantic sizes I've come across. I just delete extra swatches now. No need to keep 50 swatches around for most items. You don't! But the file size of the content should be a good indicator. A clothing article should not be more than 2Mb (maybe 3-4Mb for a fancy wedding dress) many great outfits I have found are less than 1MB even with a few swatches. But when you have a clothing article that is over 5MB, that should set off a red flag... the only way to know for sure is to examine the content in S4S. See the SPOILER: CC LEVEL OF DETAIL on my tutorial thread linked in my signature.
The ginormous (wait, no spell check? that can't be a legit word nowadays, is it?) lot or are you having trouble downloading the file? If it's the former, I'd ask are you really surprised lolI can't get this to load for me. *screaming*
I actually do the reverse when I'm culling files, I export all households and lots with the include CC tab. except script related mods, animations, etc (The importer actually zips the tray and CC files and when unzipped, they go into the categories I organized them in ) Once completed, I mass unzipp all files into one folder move all tray files into empty tray folder, all other mods already in there proper folders are thrown back into a empty mod folder I let them override and place them back into the EA folder. This process probably might take a little longer ( approx 20 mins with 90GB ) But it's what I've been doing for sometime now and it seems to work for me.You must be registered to see the linksis what you want. Make a sim that wears only stuff you wish to get rid of and SAVE IT. Then make a LOT with CC you do not want and save it as well. Open in tray importer and you can directly find the mods you marked for deletion. I cover this and other dirty tricks mentioned on my tutorial thread. See link in my signature.
Mmmm Hmmm! Some sucka made a 50Mb T-shirt with 35 megs worth of graphics but the poly count on the top is STILL sittin on 15Mb.. Time to toss out that CC... I don't have time to be fixing every piece of content which comes into my game, I only edit the ones with potential! In my case, I've found a high number of swatches to be the number 1 factor behind most of the gigantic sizes I've come across. Hmmm, lets see a show of hands... How many of you play TS4 for REALISM? I play Sims 4 when I want a short escape from real life and a hearty belly laugh. I get where you are coming from though, a bunch of people seek some level of realism in their game... Like stopping their sims from being compelled to clean up after children at the park. I would suggest to you to have a look around the YiffDirectory (linked in my signature) for entries with a " # " symbol. Maybe you will find what you need. Cheers! It's just not realistic!
I also did what you did and for example:In my case, I've found a high number of swatches to be the number 1 factor behind most of the gigantic sizes I've come across. I just delete extra swatches now. No need to keep 50 swatches around for most items.
PS. How do those creators have the patience to make those swatches? I know they use photoshop actions but you still have to save and import like 50 files for every clothing item and some of those people are really prolific. I'm too lazy for that.
Plus Sims 4 is hardly realistic. I can't even get sims to fuckin eat right lmao. I guess on Planet Simlar the smell food for nourishment. Yeah that's what EA had intended all along...Hmmm, lets see a show of hands... How many of you play TS4 for REALISM?
For me Sims 4 isn't nearly as immersive as Sims 3. Sims 3 was far more realistic, but lagged like hell. (Mostly because of pets). Sims 4 seems like a vastly stripped down version of Sims 3. Actually it's more like a graphically better Sims 2, with much shittier logic and game play. Ever since EA took over Maxis, things have never been right with The Sims. I swear, EA could f*ck up a one car funeral!Plus Sims 4 is hardly realistic. I can't even get sims to fuckin eat right lmao. I guess on Planet Simlar the smell food for nourishment. I do the same actually. When it doesn't piss me off how broke it is it does provide a relaxing escape but I do recreate places I lived, been too in real life etc...
Mp4 replace the hd ones. (or sd). The only Hd ones i had, were the last couple shared on yiff. Those are the MP4 files...I don't think those work and you need the .package ones?
Been thinking of uninstalling pets in Sims 3 and see how it works lol. Sims 3 is my favorite of the games & I agree its much more realistic. Imagine if Sims 3 got a graphics overhaul, updated to 64 bit & DirectX 11For me Sims 4 isn't nearly as immersive as Sims 3. Sims 3 was far more realistic, but lagged like hell.
