Fin Fin releases a modded version of Lupobianco's animations containing some older animations that Lupo has removed. It's not clear on the MEGA folder which is which, but I think you may have the modded one listed here. You can use either the modded, or normal versions of Lupo's animations, but not both.I'm unsure about two animation files:
ww_lupobianco_reworked_animations.package - Is this file old and no longer needed? I have the latest kamasutra mod installed that does not include it.
WW_SALARMOJS_ANIMATIONS.package - Is this file no longer needed if I'm using WW_SALARMOJS_INFERNO_STONE.package?
Thanks!
The last time I tried playing it was in 2016, with a brand new $3500 PC... and it still sucked.Sims 3 was probably Maxis at their worst performance wise. You could buy a brand new $1000 computer and it still would run awfully
Thanks! I had noticed the male sim thing too, but hadn't linked it to RedAppleNet. It doesn't bother me that much since I usually use Noir's, but it's good to know that it isn't caused by something else.Does anyone know what ksuihuh's mod "=RedAppleNet= 1.0.1" do?
I downloaded it from the amlgames without knowing anything about the mod. And it gives a bug in my game, male sims nudity in CAS isn't showing up (they wear underwear after I use that mod). Removing the mod solves the problem.
Even if I could go back to TS3, I would miss multitasking and emotions. The MultiTab object from the TS3 store was cool, but being able to watch TV or talk while you eat is awesome. And I love the emotions system too, even if it means I have to go around making sure my angry sims doesn't piss off other people.Sloppy coding, navigation issues, and 32 bit limitation doesn't bode well. Sims 4 at least did one thing right, go 64 bit.
Wishful thinking I'm afraid. Why would EA want to hire them when they work for free? EA is not known for being anything but penny pinching morons. They ruin everything they get their hands on. As far as the Sims goes, I'm quite sure they were pleased as piss when the modding community adopted it. Not only do they not have to worry about people getting bored with it, but they have a community more than willing to pick up their slack.Even if I could go back to TS3, I would miss multitasking and emotions. My problem with TS4 is mostly that it was well designed but poorly executed, and since the modding community is doing really cool stuff, they people at Maxis don't seem to care. If I worked at EA, I would employ Zerbu, LittleMsSam, Bienchen and coolspear (and probably a few others) and have them MTSGA (Make The Sims Great Again)
R.I.P. Dead Space series, Mass Effect series, Command & Conquer series, Battlefields, some prety good studios also... That's why, now, I don't buy EA game anymore...Wishful thinking I'm afraid. I agree - that's why I said "if I worked at EA", although what I really meant was "if I was one of the TS4 producers"Wishful thinking I'm afraid. Sims 4 has turned out to be a real nickle and dime job. When it came out it was so bare I couldn't believe it. They monetized every feature that was available in Sims 3 from the beginning before Sims 4 got any of them. What a shame to ruin the reputation of Maxis. Whomever was responsible for selling Maxis to EA should be.... Never mind... I don't want to go there!I agree - that's why I said "if I worked at EA", although what I really meant was "if I was one of the TS4 producers"
EA's goal is obviously to make money, and there's nothing wrong with that. The problem is how they're doing it (by squeezing money out of idiots like me who are willing to pay $10 for a stuff pack) vs. how I think they should be doing it (by making a kick-ass game that doesn't require you to spend 75% of your time updating mods and fixing random shit).
There are other game companies that embrace their modding communities by giving them tools and docs, while Maxis can barely be arsed to publish TDESCs (and never in advance, so tool creators and modders are never prepared for upcoming patches and DLC).
You forgot the Dragon Age series. Dragon Age Origins is still one of my favorite games. It was truly awesome for its time when it was released back in 2009 (written by Bioware).R.I.P. I agree. The Sims franchise is one of the few PC games out there that costs $300+ to fully enjoy it. EA basically broke the game into pieces and sold them as modules. A $60 game turned into a $300+ game.Sims 4 has turned out to be a real nickle and dime job. When it came out it was so bare I couldn't believe it.
