I think it depends. In short, technically you can use two sliders that touch the same thing but it is not advised. Depending on the sliders it may cause distortion or unwanted edges/distortion. Sometimes they just work, or minimal enough to not notice, or jagged enough to look glitchy.
Easy to test too by immediately going into CAS and feel it out, then go into your game save and look at your sims and townies for any odd distortion. To avoid messing up your townies bodies DO NOT save your game if you suspect sliders aren't cooperating. Remove the slider mod and everything will remain in tact.
