Do you have a list of which characters will be romanceable by chance? Love the game, but I'm just the type of person who likes knowing who i can date in bi games.
You can interact and hookup w a lot of the characters and your relationship improves as you hangout and sleep w them more. I'm not tackling this like a dating sim so you're not there do date anyone. However the more you interact w them, the more conversations and the sex are going to feel meaningful. Right now, there are only a handful of characters like this (Carter for everybody. Jackie and Damon for patreon exclusive) but by episode 5-6 half of the cast will be in a similar "I enjoy your company, I enjoy sleeping with you, we've got a mutual thing going but we just don't have to give it a name" kid of state.
I hear ya. I skipped to the bottom and moved on to the next page. Realized later that I ended up skipping the entirety of chapter 3. I really want to like the game, but the way it is designed, there's really only a handful of actual meaningful choices and the rest feel like filler. It's not quite a kinetic novel, but in some ways, perhaps it's better to make it a kinetic novel rather than a game with some very hidden choices that carry very little weigh. Outside of a handful of choices, I feel like nothing really matters. "Winning" on day one makes no visible difference to the story (the same two people are on the chopping block and the outcome is the same), the kissing challenge is also the same (it seems like there's no right or wrong answer to guess the lips), even if you do poorly on the big movie the outcome is still the same...
EDIT: This is by no means an attack on the dev or his choice of design. It's merely one player's opinion. It may not be my cup of tea, but keep up the good work, dev!
I really appreciate you giving some examples cause I've gotten a lot of comments like "choices don't matter" and I'm left so confused because there are a good amount of choices and they matter a lot. There are only a handful of choices that dont affect the story at all (kissing foreplay challenge, the "I'll eliminate people based on" conversation in ep 2 and the tarot reading are literally the only three I can think of) Everything else affects the story in minor or major ways (your placements, your relationships, your chances of winning the foreplay or the main challenge, who you can hookup w in the future, who you end up filming with/who the other contestants end up filming with...)
I think my problem is that the choices matter too much. You can be locked out of routes based on choices that seem small. For example, if you never explore the third floor in ep 2, you can't win the foreplay in ep 3, if you don't win the foreplay you cant play the winning role, Derrick. But if you do explore, win the foreplay challenge, pick Derrick for yourself, make the right decisions on the set; you can win the challenge and affect who goes home. Same thing with Carter; if you never hookup w him in ep 2, you cant sleep with Scarlet and you can't get their hookup scenes in episode 3 either. But if you do sleep with him, it unlocks like 10 passages worth of new content. Like by the end of episode 3, you can have a win under your belt, you can be barely scraping by, or you could be a safe contestant. Your relationship with characters like Kenna, Scarlet and Carter will be wildly different based on your choices: they might love you or they might despise you. There are two different people who can get eliminated, who you save greatly affects how the rest of the contestants are going to treat you moving forward... so there are a lot of different outcomes if you explore different choices. But I feel like a lot of the people who say the choices don't matter are only here for the straight or the gay content. And when you do that, only half of the game is available to you. But if you explore every choice, you'll see that they matter.
