I do honestly feel you there and can't defend/argue it beyond what I have.
I just replayed that scene. I would have hit him, multiple time.
But then I thought, this is my mom's workplace, do I want to create an issue for her in her workplace, let's show restraint.
I began to think "is that what the developer was thinking?" But, there are more leveled people than me, people who could have handled that better, without creating drama for the mother.

Even me, a tiny girl, could have handled it better. No violence or anger needed.
You simply say "that's my mom, don't be a dick" and it's instantly solved.
Instead he stood there while his girlfriend did the work and will probably be known around the office as the guy who's girlfriend fights his battles.
It would also go around the office that you can say anything you want about his mother, the pussy won't say a word.

Considering this game wasn't going to exist past the first part with Nikki I won't complain.
No, though, they aren't. It's not got long left and this is more setting the scene for the options kicking in than anything else.

Weak facial animation is too striking. Make such a variety of characters, and at the same time don't change the facial expression during several renders... The same moment when the MC put his hand on Karen's ass... Or during her exercises - only the mouth moves, the rest of the face is motionless. This is very, very striking.
