It appears there is some confusion regarding the relationship between the MC and Alaina. As one of Laundry's editors, I feel the need to bring some clarity...

Alaina is a step-sister to the MC with no blood relation what-so-ever. The MC's father and Alaina's mother married as the MC was leaving for college (Alaina is approximately 4 years younger than the MC and was in high school at the time). They didn't grow up together and they've never lived under the same roof. Early on, the two developed a very close relationship where the MC has always looked out for, and taken care of his step-sister.

Most devs don't start out as expert animators and they can't afford to outsource the animating at first either. But good renders, decent writing and good story telling are enough to gain a following and work on other skills (like animation). I am happy to see any dev do a good to excellent job with what they know and wait to improve and add other skills later. It definitely beats having crap animations just so they can say they are there.

I fully understand, and i didn´t mention it to diss the dev. In my opinion it is better to avoid these "semi animations" until
he either is able to create decent animations or none at all. But these half cooked scenes don´t do it.

For Patreon's purposes, this is not enough to not be incest (blood relations don't matter to them). Beyond that, it will generally turn incest AVN fans away. For a lot of people, stepcest is worse than being completely unrelated, because it's completely unnecessary. AVNs aren't mainstream porn videos, which use step-relations to avoid a different kind of censorship, so either they use the "roommate"/"landlady" workaround, they create wholly different patched stories (like My Dorm), or they use itch and SubscribeStar and go full-on with blood-related incest.

If Alaina is an LI, Patreon will eventually slap Laundry down if that relationship is not retconned in the core game and re-implemented via a patch that is never mentioned or distributed on Patreon (at which point there's no reason to keep it a step-relation). While step-relations are acceptable in mainstream porn as a stand-in for incest, there's a reason successful "honest it's not incest" AVNs on Patreon use the "roommate"/"landlady" stuff and an "unofficial, fan-made" patch.

On a different note, like a few others in this thread, I'm personally waiting to hear an answer about future harem or not before I try it out and see if it's worth supporting, now that we've gotten an answer on NTR/swinging/sharing.

I saw a survey on a page of an incest topic where it indicated that stepcest is as hated by the incest crowd (I'm not generalizing) as ntr himself lol

Good luck with your game and with Patreon, and I'd recommend at least getting your SubscribeStar profile started through the approval process, which can take many months since they manually review everything before approval.

You'll get less money from that, but most of us, myself included, prefer a once off payment through platforms we trust and can use paypal from
