So he was making fun of the people who can't bother to use the search function. I wasn't being sarcastic. It's just that I've seen way too many people who actually talk like that on the internet, that I at some point had to accept that people like that just exist somehow. So I automatically just accepted that he was another one of those, withou considering that he was just mimicking everyone. putting those things: " " in his text or using bold or cursive text would have made it much easier to avoid confusion

It doesn't count as sarcasm if it's an actual thing that people have unironically been saying.
You have to exaggerate something to the point where it's semi-obviously a joke for it to be sarcasm, but the standard user on this forum is so fucking stupid that it's impossible to satirize them.

The result of trying to troubleshoot why your porn-game doesn't work while all of your bloodflow is still being redirected south, I guess.

The only way to fix it is to create a virtual machine and install windows 10 in japanese. Then download the game inside the VM and play it there.

Here's the command to extract it properly:

unzip -O Windows-31J The_Way_Home_RJ01008367.zip

I personally played it on windows and I don't have wine installed so couldn't test it there, but I saw once a trick to quickly launch these kind of games using a python webserver and it seems to work just fine with this one.

#From the game folder
cd www
python3 -m http.server 8000

Seriously, this is sad. The same question asked time and time again, proper answer given time and time again, and even so...
People not capable of just reading a -veeeery- little back and just learning how to properly extract a frikkin' .zip file.

Anyhow, here are all the files which have JP characters in their names. Just extract this in your game folder (where the game's .exe is) and there you have it.
No more handholding though; look around in the thread and try out the search function next time you have a problem with a game... Pretty pweeease?!

thanks for this, i followed instructions to ctrl + e to change to jp and extract it then, but it still didn't work, this worked for me

I checked dev's twitter for maybe some WIPs for next game and... There isnt any. Dev just doing some irrelevant fanart and playing games, thats all. Looks like development has stopped and we wont see Kaerimichi-2 or any game in foreseeable future or at all. Thats sad.
