IMHO a major problem with early reviews is that the reviewers use their perception of the potential to set the stars. So the first few reviews are 4 and 5 stars, then three updates later (if there are that many) the 1 and 2 star reviews come in, but the bias is there. It would be interesting for F95 to dilute the weight of early reviews so that reviews as the VN progresses have more impact, until the VN is completed. They could do it by update. Say a VN with 12 updates, the reviews of the first two update carry 1/6th the weight of a review of the current update. This would also reward improvements in a VN as it develops.Reading reviews and I realise, once again, how smart I am not to write one after the 1st chapter. I'm not even writing one now, some more updates than I will. What I reacted to was that one reviewer complained how stupid it was to throw out a 12 year old kid. Then we learn in the last chapter that he wasn't thrown out, so the reviewer that gave 1* should indeed have 1* instead.
