"He's a big huron"... WTF? "Huron" is a tribe of Native Americans. It's also the big lake northeast of Detroit, a river a few miles south of me and a township where I used to live, all named after the Native American tribe.

It's been quite a while since I first tried this game and it's unrecognizable now. At least (so far, anyway) MC doesn't gush about how hot he finds his sister's fat, ugly friend. I really hope that character's either gone completely or completely remade.

Depends on an education system. In Russia, for example, people finish school and can enter the university in the age of 17, those who exceptionally smart (or for some reason were sent to school when they're were 6) can do that at 16.
