I'm not their boss, I'm not even their customer. Don't get me wrong, I've invested hundreds of dollars in patreon porn games, I do support people. But me personally, only when they already have a real game out. Either their first game has 4-ish hours of content or have already completed one game that I loved and are bringing a new one out.
This case, I'm not a customer. They opened a thread to ask people their thoughts on the matter. I left a review (5 stars if you were asking yourself), and I came back with some non-review related feedback. I don't trust unity. IDK if this is some third party software or their proprietary engine. But Ren'Py is the definition of mainstream, has support, is open source. All they have to do is write a script and render some scenes.
EDIT: Not unity as their engine, but the VN engine within unity. Just so I avoid "witty" comebacks /end_Edit
I like it because it saves time and effort, and it's supported.
This engine they are using is nice. It's objectively not as feature rich as Ren'Py (can't hide the fucking chat box), and I have no idea if it's being supported, or if the dev team is investing man hours into it themselves. As long as all this game has is picture with text, maybe animation with text, some transitions, some choice, some things u can click on the screen - having any other engine is a waste of time, effort and resources. IMHO.
I am not God, I am not spouting gospel, nor pretending to have the objective truth at hand. But it is my opinion and it is not an empty opinion. It's not a feeling and it's not entitlement. Unlike you, I am actually thinking about my arguments, giving facts and data, then adding personal feelings and opinions. While you, as far as I can tell, is being purely emotional. "Don't scare away the devs :-S" - is what I read.
Sure, devs have been scared away from these forums by the less tolerable members of the community ... but this is an anonymous online message board.

I'm not saying that last part to encourage people to be shit. I just hope that game devs learn this and manage to get over it. On the internet, the best thing you can do is learn to filter out trash.

As far as the game goes, I love it - as a demo. Which is to say, I'll probably forget about it in a week at most.
That being said, I regularly watch the incest games getting updates, and I would love to support a dev team that is making progress on an actually good game. This has the start of an actually good game, with hot models, decent writing for a porno, hot situations and early incest fucking. I aim to make the MC's family tree into a family circle. Good luck!
