tbh, I want a good game, I don't care what engine it runs on.

Why is that? For real?
My impression is that for most it's just personal preference. And in that case it should really be up to the dev. What works best for him, you know.
Or am I missing something? Because I really liked the UI of this game and it has a rollback feature (not even that important for me).
Is there something that Unity does so terribly (objectively) that I'm missing?

I can tell you exactly why. When I am playing the game I can look through the scripts and if say there is a choice it is either girl A or girl B can't have both. Well then I rewrite the script and ta-da now I can have them both.
Or if I want a harem I make it so I can be with every girl in the game. Within the limitations of the game of course.
Also can look and see what are the best choices to make. What is the outcome of each choice. I can then make the decisions I want to be with the girl(s) I want to be with.
Can enable console so if I need some money just add it through the console. If I need more points to get close to a girl just raise them in the console. If the Dev disables rollback I can re-enable it. etc etc etc.
With Unity I can't do jack shit.

Same, I like the simplicity of using un-ren, jump into the script and fix things myself. Since the engine and the script are completely separate, and it's just a literal script (as in talking) and some "jump to X with disolve" and I can remove all the pointless disolves, fix typos, re-write the story so it's less retarded.
Not saying you can't do the same with unity, but it's usually a way more shit experience.

It's about the better engine. This game, specifically, is the best non-renpy VN I've seen. True. But ... Ren'Py is objectively better.
And I personally couldn't care less about why you're so invested in this. I do find it hilarious though =))

I just want creators to focus on make good games, without people whine about their choice of tools, engine etc is not to their liking. And your preference when far beyond what would be considered "normal use".. so.. why I said entitled...

I'm not their boss, I'm not even their customer. Don't get me wrong, I've invested hundreds of dollars in patreon porn games, I do support people. But me personally, only when they already have a real game out. Either their first game has 4-ish hours of content or have already completed one game that I loved and are bringing a new one out.
This case, I'm not a customer. They opened a thread to ask people their thoughts on the matter. I left a review (5 stars if you were asking yourself), and I came back with some non-review related feedback. I don't trust unity. IDK if this is some third party software or their proprietary engine. But Ren'Py is the definition of mainstream, has support, is open source. All they have to do is write a script and render some scenes.
EDIT: Not unity as their engine, but the VN engine within unity. Just so I avoid "witty" comebacks /end_Edit
I like it because it saves time and effort, and it's supported.
This engine they are using is nice. It's objectively not as feature rich as Ren'Py (can't hide the fucking chat box), and I have no idea if it's being supported, or if the dev team is investing man hours into it themselves. As long as all this game has is picture with text, maybe animation with text, some transitions, some choice, some things u can click on the screen - having any other engine is a waste of time, effort and resources. IMHO.

As far as the game goes, I love it - as a demo. Which is to say, I'll probably forget about it in a week at most.
That being said, I regularly watch the incest games getting updates, and I would love to support a dev team that is making progress on an actually good game. This has the start of an actually good game, with hot models, decent writing for a porno, hot situations and early incest fucking. I aim to make the MC's family tree into a family circle. Good luck!
if the dev intends to add features to the game that requires more advanced gameplay, then I guess Unity would be a best since the engine is most configured for actual gameplay (fps,platforming,etc.) while Ren'py is mostly used for VN because it is easier and has a lot more resources dedicated to visual novels.
Aside from Unity being more clunky and requires a bit more tweaking to run smoothly on any platform(regardless of specs), I don't have any preference what engine they use so long as the game doesn't crash and the game runs smoothly.

Renpy have better support for ingame walkthroughs and other mods.
For example i install a "Transparent textbox" on every game i play really.
Rollback is standard.
You can change stats with console or Renpy Save Editor.
You can code some of this stuff in unity also, but renpy is basic and easy to mod for everyone that plays the game.

Yeah but your definition of people "whining" and being "entitled" is also kinda skewed, since you hardcore defended "Scamdrop games" when people where "whining" that hes been scamming his patreons for years, and felt "entitled" for an update.
Its not about whining or feeling entitled about having the game in Renpy, people are free to prefer one engine over the other and express that opinion.
Just like the developer is free to litsen or not, and use what ever engine he/she wants in the end.

Because its okay to accuse a creator of doing cp erotica, dealing drugs and all kind of other nonsense, because being a terrible creator isn't enough right? Or accuse other creators to be that particular creator, just because they found themselves mixed up (hired), by him. Oh, and no matter how people spend their money, on whatever shit you, or anyone else doesn't like, doesn't change the fact people will keep do it, and they free to do with their cash to please. Even creators such as him.
Sure, people are free to like whatever engine they want. Trying to push creators around to swap engines etc because they don't like whatever crosses a border though. If you like a game play it, if you don't because whatever reasons find something else.

Good quality renders and a super hot milf, I'm in. The only problem I have with the game is the relationships seem to be a little weird, even though the game does let you define the relationship between the mc and the other characters It doesn't let you define the other characters relationship towards each other because of this the dialogue between Sara and Maria for example makes it seem as if they are just friends that live together. Luckily this would be simply fixed by just adding some extra options at the start such as "What is the relationship between Sara and Maria" etc. Anyway looking forward to future updates and more of this godlike milf.
