First a note about what someone said about how this game is dancing around the incest issue. Thats not one of my kinks but it is inescapable so I just pay it no mind and in games like this where you can define the relationship I made everyone Aunt/Uncle/cousins. Its obviously supposed to be a family and all the phrasing assumes it, because the defined relationships are only about what characters are to the MC and not
each other. My cousins call their own mother and father "aunt" and "uncle" because of it. It comes off as really strange the first time it happens and doesn't stop looking weird. The only solution of course is that during the relationship definition time, the player also has to state what the characters are to each other, and it extends the process by another handful of questions. Played another game that did it that way recently. It was irritating to do at the time but the characters called each other by their proper titles/honorifics so it flowed better.
So I have a question
for whoever is responsible for the walkthrough. (I don't
think its built in 'cause I couldn't find a toggle for it in the settings. So its probably scrappy's mod? Though that description wasn't clear if it had a walkthrough either, and I don't remember if I installed it or not.)
(Sorry about the ping scrappy, I forgot to edit it out before posting once I realized I was wrong about what was happening.)
Aaaaanyway, during the task "Help Vivian steal items from the acting theatre", Viv asks MC to watch the door while she tries on the dress. Choice is to either "Peek
[Task Point]" or "Keep watch". If you keep watch it skips straight to the next scene of someone approaching. If you peek, you see her change out of her clothes, then asked again the same question, with the same result as she puts her clothes back on. In neither peeking path did anything happen that would affect if you complete the task or not, so why was it marked that way?
...
So I play out the scene and there is another task point to be had by standing up to the acting teacher, that has nothing to do with whether or not you successfully steal the stuff from the theatre. After leaving the theatre, having successfully stolen all the stuff Vivian needed, I only get a grade of C on the task because I didn't perv on Viv or boost my relationship points with her in my retort to the acting teacher. I'm a bit disappointed in this discovery. Instead I choose to
do my job by keeping watch and then withdrawing from the stage encounter as quickly as possible.
So I guess my issue isn't with the WT at all because that was accurately pointing out that to get the points I had to go that route. My problem is that this "task" description is a lie, and so my "grade" suffers because I'm not chasing the milf. It is just barely better than being forced into an encounter and makes me question how much agency the MC is really gonna get in this game. Lets see what the repercussions of not perving on Vivian are gonna be.
Edit: Looks like the same situation is happening with the Bella job too, the "task point" is on the choice to ogle her but has nothing to do with completing the task. I'm beginning to have doubts about this game. I'll try to play a bit to see exactly what is gonna be affected by how I played the Vivian job... but this MC better at least punch Victor out soon.
Edit 2: Yeahhhh, got a D going to the art studio with Vivian, again because I wasn't flirting or whatever. Gonna try to keep going at least as far enough to see what the repercussions of not playing the way we're apparently "supposed to" are.
Edit 3: Made it to end of ch 1, and those tasks and grades were there to give you a heart for each A+ you got for that LI. Have not met with Victor yet so I don't know if he cares about those tasks vs. the ones he gives you. So thats kinda confusing, was it explained at the start?
