Fully uninstall the game (including anything in %appdata%) and reinstall.
Walkthrough patch isn't great so best to just stick with the PDF walkthrough if you need one. I have no issues with the base game + incest patch in Windows (I downloaded off Pixeldrain, possible the other downloads have issues).

It was the Animation Pack 1 update that added some animations and new dialogue to a few scenes. That update just never found its way to this thread, unfortunately. Maybe one day a hero will rise to the occasion.
Still not a good sign though as I think this is the longest there has ever been without an update for this game.

Sorry but you are wrong and I was correct, its not July but April.
April 8 release and April 19 when the thread got updated.

It wasn't a new numbered version, but it was an animation pack that added animations, new images, and improved dialogue to an existing scene.

Despite the incest patch linked on the first post being updated to animation pack 1 with the new dialogue, the actual animation pack 1 never made it here. That is why it starts throwing errors when you get to those scenes that were updated when you use it with the version available in this thread.First time with Julia (with animations)!

That's not an update but more of an add on or change to the update or something.
When going by when a game/VN gets the abandoned tag they use "Update" or no contact from the dev.
No update in 18 months = abandoned and or no contact from the dev in over 90 days = abandoned.
But its neither here or there the game is abandoned as it stands.
I'm not arguing the abandoned tag, but small updates are still updates. If there was a size requirement for how much had to be added to a game for it to count as an update, there are quite a few updates for games here that wouldn't count. Sometimes they are literally just fixing a single bug, or adding a single non-animated scene.
I have never seen anyone try to claim those don't count as updates.
I do have an ulterior motive for bringing up the animation pack however. I am hoping someone is able to get a hold of it and link to it in this thread without me coming across as begging.
I have long been curious what the animations look like and if they are any good.

One of my very first games from F95. Still think it's excellent and would love to see this game finished. Sad about its abandonment, but it's been abandoned before, so who knows.

Well, some of the posing and sex scene ideas are okay. Some narrative notions would have potential if dialogue wasn't unhinged. Model work could be a lot better, but I've seen a lot worse.
But all of you who consider writing in this excellent, what the fuck are you smoking? It's an incoherent mess. All 3 main characters have a combined IQ of 70 at best, most of it in Julia, who is also completely psychotic. What's worse, the writing was deteriorating more and more as the time goes on, and no, terrible translation had nothing to do with it. It's like talking to a person who is slowly losing their mind. This is beyond someone who is an antisocial permavirgin who has no idea how real people talk or behave.

Damn, 19 months since the last progress report. I really hope Noir Desir is all right IRL. I always worry when devs suddenly disappear without any reason or word. We've lost devs to things like death, and my mind can't help but worry about something like that.
