LOL that's literally the main reason why I like it. Not a fan of bland College Vns that just focus on parties or banging as much girls as possible. Or VNs like that in general. I need drama, action, suspense etc to get me invested and that's exactly what the mafia stuff did for AOA. Without it, it would've just been another boring College VN. Being A Dik is one of the only college VNs that has a really nice balance between college life and everything else. AOA was more everything else than it was college life but I didn't mind that at all. We don't need a Being A Dik clone as awesome as that game is, it's on a league of its own.

I haven't played AOA, but I agree with you in general. For me there needs to be a driving force that pushes the plot forward. Some motivation for the MC and characters to do something rather than just existing to breath air and fuck. Drama is fine but not when it consists of mundane life tropes or worse...contrived mundane life tropes. I know some people want that. Soap Operas were popular for a reason but that's just boring more often than not to me. Especially if the plot doesn't feel like it's progressing naturally. At least with other settings there is another element to keep things interesting, besides college "days of our lives".

Unfortunately I started playing this game before I was conscious about this preference of mine. Not to say I can't still enjoy a story like this, it's just less likely and things stick out a lot more to me. I hardly ever look at college games anymore, and this isn't doing anything to sway me .

...I did come back for Penny. NGL she is who I picture when I remember this game.

the summary so far is- as always with those best-bro storys -
with friends like this you dont need enemies...
the best-bro here causing not only bullshit with them girls , but is responsible for ALL this shit at first
and if you can see it - is in contact with the mother - who shows up at the hospital for alex (the emergency contact which alex is so scared about that the mc knows)
shown at the scene where damon is waiting at the hospital
the reaction of the mc at the end of ep5 is not what it should according to this knowledge

WELL.. for me, I would love seeing and having a harem path choice confirmed, and added to this project. I usually avoid stories with the forced single relationship path...as it usually forces the player to avoid the other girls at the start of meeting them, or the player will face problems later in the story...if a player pursues more than one Li...in an adult game.

But, I agree having the CHOICE of many types of relationship paths, can allow everyone to be happy...and can increase the projects fan base...and ultimately increase the Dev's potential to generate more revenue's from their hard work.

WELL.. for me, I would love seeing and having a harem path choice confirmed, and added to this project. I usually avoid stories with the forced single relationship path...as it usually forces the player to avoid other girls at the start of meeting them, or the player will face problems later in the story...if a player pursues more than one Li...in a adult porn game.

But, I agree having the CHOICE of many types of relationship paths, can make everyone happy...and can increase the projects fan base and ultimately increase the Dev's potential to generate revenue's from their hard work.

I didn't say i hate harems i said i'm not a fan there is a difference i actually like a harem game called Light of my Life.

and about it being a porn game some games on here are a bit more than a porn game so to just look games on here as just porn is a bit simplistic (Look at hillside and being a dik they don't just focus on pussy all the time)

Wasn't it a drug cartel, and not the Mafia? Considered a completely different entity, and how they implement and conduct their business models.

But I did like the story, just wish it added a choice to have MC experience more than one girl...instead of locking the player to pursue just one Li. MC having intimacy with the hot blond teacher and all the others, or being with the house leader and all the other house girls. Or even developing a throuple threesome with the childhood friend and her cute roommate...now that would have been something, that could have increased it's fan base.

you can have 2 girls atleast
Penny has no romance variable - only lewd



so that means (for me) penny is a sure lewd option + 1 girl
not a harem but close

I don't personally hate harem games in general, but I am just so very tired of them, I want to play something different too.

Ok, we are greedy. I won't deny, but there are quite a few harem games that give the option of not going after all the characters, so how is playing it like that any worse than having a game force you to only pick one?
If anything it would be better that way because the player makes the choice and isn't forced one way or the other by the story. If multiple endings are planned anyway...then why not?
