You also need to consider that the actual definition of the word 'game' is "an activity that one engages in for amusement or fun" and if we're being honest, a lot of mini-'games' and mechanics in these types of 'games' don't really fall into the category of amusing or fun, but would be more accurately described as tedious, frustrating, padding, etc.
i personally like them. it's a game where it actually forces you to be engaged with what's going on. it's not just mindless clicking of random items or some shoddy quick time event. there's so many more games on this site that have real grind and padding like a bunch of the rpgm games and people flock to them. there's even a hotel simulator game with barely any content but people seem to love that too. or summertime saga, which actively throws minigames in your path but it's highly rated. to each their own; you might not like a game that you can't skip through but that doesn't mean others won't.

I agree, not enough games on this site have real gameplay and, too many that do end up dropping them after they get complaints from lazy players looking for VNs instead of games.

Oof...the writing and dialogue in this update took a real nosedive. I get it that it's setting up the premise for the minigame, but the dialogue with Akane was so childish, unrealistic, cringeworthy, I was so absolutely aggravated that I closed the game. The sister was portrayed as an imbecile, and the MC like a feeble shitwipe. And to imagine I actually liked Elvo in the previous chapter, gives you an idea of how forgiving I am with the writing. I hope the dev kills off Akane and maybe get some courses in story writing. too bad, this could have been the new Dreams of Desire.

I changed my characters name to Dick, it was only fitting. But I enjoyed this update, especially the "crime scene" part of the game. I know others are turned off by this part of the game, but I personally enjoy it, it was pretty cool trying to clear my name. The story is getting interesting to say the least, the best girl Selena put on a show for us to see and even though Akane framed the mc for "murder" I wouldn't mind having her as a Li, she's stunning. Yes, I just simped hard for Akane.
Final thoughts: I can't wait to cup Selena's ass it's so grabbable. Where the fuck was Elvo when we needed it?

I don't mind the gameplay but this update felt really short. Can't wait to be rid of Akane, I don't know why that bitch keeps coming at you after just trying to frame you for murder.

Well I certainly didn't expect that. Must be some damn pills they're taking lol.
Sems like many don't like the Ace Attorney style of gameplay, personally I really liked it, the only thing missing is the mc screaming "Objection" every time he finds a flaw in the story of the other characters.
Also I really love Akane, I've no idea whats up with my fascination with evil slightly crazy women, but I'm always more interested in them then any normal girl. Evil to evil I guess.
Also I think in perspective of the bad ending, that Akane is either the MC's secret sister(considering she really liked being called his sister) or his other future daugther, considering she says the same as Stella(or what the future daugther was called). Dad send her back to save the future, also she basically admitted that she has no idea what she is doing.

This is my first time playing the game and I was really impressed.
The prologue was nice and meaty, if light on the H content, but hey, its a starting game.
I LOVE the "Press X to Doubt" style gameplay with disproving people's stories and uncovering false memories. I just wish there was more of it.
At First, I HATED Akane, but the more I read into things, and the fact that I got to play the "bad ending" which gives you Akane's motivations behind what she did, I like her, alot. Girl got some major Tsundere (or should I say Yandere?) vibes going on, but I think once her back story comes out in the main story line, we will all like her crazy ass more. Girl just needs to get off those pills. Though we can all agree Selena is best girl.
Also, some thoughts: I think Serah is Mandy's daughter. I think Akane is working with Ellie in S.O.H.S (the hidden image in the lamp is signed "-A". And I think Akane is your sister by another mother. Possible this Aunt Katherine we've yet to see so far.
As to some slight criticism:
I think Selena just needs a little tweezing of her eyebrows and she'd be perfect.
I don't like the look of Serah's model. She looks too old for my taste, she seems to be about the same age as the MC's mom... which is off-putting for when I think of someone who's the MC's daughter to look older then any of his sisters... yeah, no bueno.
I really like the game though and look forward to more eventually. Good job Dev and Good Luck!
