This is Chapter 1 though... Chapter 2 got given its own thread, that's linked in the OP.
Doh... My bad, just woke up. o_O:ROFLMAO::coffee:
Removed my post. You are right though.
Still feels a bit weird that they split the threads but I guess they would rather split it
now than later down the line in case the game gets a massive amounts of chapters.
I guess this is how things are going to be from now.

How do i apply the x64 patch? I tried the game installation path and save path but doesnt seem to work
Not needed. The version on OP has the patch included.
Poo! only game i'm dying to play and no matter how much c ++ i uninstall/reinstall it just wont get past the white screen of blah blah blah ... lol
Because you don't do it right. Uninstall all Visual C++ newer as 2015 then install install C++ 2015.
I can save and file is exit but I can't load it. Please HELP...

Only newer versions? i'm looking at the massive list of c++ entries at the moment and purging the 86bit (as i'm 64) hoping a reinstalled 2015 will work then, my only other option is to purge the list entirely white background but loading a game i can see the smart phone interface i assume its the same bug.

Delete every C++ starting from 2015. Then install 2015 and try the game. If it works you can install every C++ newer as 2015.

He means uninstall, of course - you don't want to go randomly deleting files.

You need the x86 and the x64 versions of these; 32 bit apps use the x86 versions and 64 bit apps use the x64 versions.

Yeah i know its not ideal but i wanna play it so much i'd rather have to reinstall 12 different c++ installers than not play the game! i've only got stuff from 2012 eariler left i have none of the newer c++ atm my next step is uninstall the lot reinstall 2015 and see what happens lol.

oh i should ask which build number i've had a couple of 2015 from the same website, maybe i can track down an old build if its not supplied (yes followed link used the installer i just downloaded)

Make sure btw that the game isn't in a hidden folder, this might also affect the game finding the dialogue files. I am not 100% sure about this though, but it used to be an issue before with save files before we moved it out of the game folder.

The version to use is either
  • the version included with the game, or
  • the latest version on the Microsoft website
(both should be the same)

Did you delete the English.zip in language folder by any chance? Because you shouldn't!
If you see the "blablabla" screen then either:
- install C++ 2015 didn't work
- you did not click on the Flag on the main menu after you add the translation.

no i didn't delete anything inside the game folder, i even tried renaming it from new folder to the title, the part 2 tells me to install 2015 in the place of the blah blah message from the first game, but something is off from enter your name being a white screen, i imagine that is a splash screen.. lol
yeah its bizzare i've had this install a long time and likely something is just causing a problem.. kinda a shame only game i've wanted to play for a while.. kinda sad next on the list is the witcher 3 though lol.

What?? You messed up to much.. delete the entire game folder and extract a fresh copy on your desktop.

- If you play game build x64 then you need C++ 2015 x64 on Windows 7 (Windows 10 requires build version 1909).
- Don't extract the language zip file.

yes i didn't touch the language folder at all? its just a zip inside its folder i only saw it after you mentioned it?
the folder i renamed was the "timestamps" main directory, as i had unziped its contents directly into a "new folder"

14.0.24123 and 14.0.23026 builds attempted. - and i've been uninstalling the 86x versions to test with that version too/lost love.
