Well I suppose that could be possible from anyone with more knowledge and responsibility on a team, say senior programmer, system analyst, software engineer, and so on. But if you have the requirements to fill a position in a big and complex project, and you have already entered that position and know the general idea of the project, why the company would replace you? that would be a bit paranoid...(and not confident in your abilities) On the other hand, it just wouldn't be practical isn't? you could... I don't know, putting no comments at all, putting a bunch of gotos, or do any kind of gimmicks... But like you said in the end another programmer would figure it out.

I can make it easier then that, check it:
- Have the player try and climb up the stairs to floor 7 only to have the stairway "break" while climbing it.
- Have the mistress you put the most loyalty points into pick you up and heal your wounds
- insert long winded h-scene with said mistress.
- after scene is over you and your mistress leave the tower for a trip to wherever.
- game picks up 2 or so years later and depending on the mistress of your choice you'll be locked out of certain paths in the 'new' tower and everyone you saved thus far in the tower years prior will be long gone and away from the tower.

I don't think it's public knowledge but I'd be surprised if Koda gets more than 20% at best. Anyone thinking he gets near half is delusional.
Kodas face after going on a trip during a pandemic instead of releasing an update that was supposed to come out a week ago that delayed a game that was announced 8 months ago that was originally meant to come out "in 4 days" around 6 months ago that in turn has delayed a floor that was originally meant to come out "this month" around a year ago

Koda is still maintaining a release date for the Heelfall update of this weekend, meaning it will have been delayed two weeks from the original date of the 20th, not one week. It also seems like this was originally meant to be a simple bug fix so Koda could get back to working on the months-delayed Level 0 and years-delayed Floor 7, but he's since been adding extra scenes and frills.
