Is there any word on the delay date for the actual content? He said he would release a girl every one to two weeks but do we really have to wait until next saturday for just the Cobra content?

Hey now, please don't flood the board and attract the mods.

Thanks

Yeah guys stop holding him accountable for delaying 57 times, you're not allowed to point out the obvious or the dick riders will get offended!
Does anybody actually do anything when we enact this form of "holding him accountable", or do a bunch of people just foam at the mouth on a forum repeatedly.

Didn't been here for quite long, so, how's the progress going?
Is anyone know when would be an update?

Long story short there is a preview for 1.13 that has some sex scenes with Cobra and lots of sexy Ethan content. Or did you mean f95's fork of ToT that may or may not be in the making?American tradition says people will then march with #NotMyDeveloper and #TreasonousKoda :D

In all seriousness if you really want to 'hold him accountable' for not breaking any law besides blind faith in overly ambitious milestones (that are not legally binding in any way) then you've got everything you need to make the game EvaSlavE was referring to. And if you've got the time to pull it off you might even get your own thread!

Let's summarize the actual arguments that have been brought up so far:
- Blatant lack of communication between the dev and artist: Trash the dev, keep the artist. If Bo agrees to have his art reused for non-commercial purposes (or whatever, if you're one of those money-hungry people you might as well ask him for a proper contract too) then you just go with that. If for some reason you hold a grudge against Bo then you just don't and reuse it anyway.
- Overly ambitious milestones: Rewrite the game engine with the help of f95zone devs who actually know how to code and have time and will to help. This thing is goddamn spaghetti code in steroids. No seriously, it is. I'm not being mean to Koda, I'm telling the truth. Not even 2ch beginners making their own game come up with such catastrophic coding habits. This is an absolute disaster in the long run. I won't even start on the Ruby abomination, just the vanilla code is an apocalypse. Don't even touch Ruby at all if you're already struggling with the basics. You don't prompt for a player's name and then put the name pointer in every single event manually! It's dead obvious you'll forget some. You know you really did it when Ethan ends up calling himself Mommy
- Timely releases: Now let's get real here, sorry if I sound bossy but fuck if I know how to put that. That's not possible if you go over every single idea so you turn down all requests and go my schedule can only be so full. You focus and get help on what you've decided to keep, or if you work on your own, you learn your limits. You have a life, a job, a family and whatnot (add pet animals here) and it's a hobby. Or are you doing it 24/7 and crazy enough to pull an entire floor map a day on your own, bugfixes and grammar fixes included? Even if you could, you shouldn't do that, not healthy at all in the long run, you'll die.

If pride is an issue the first step is to acknowledge it. Then swallow it. And then sigh and go 'okay, I fucked up, I need help guys'. But you don't have to go all the way down to 'fuck it I'm useless I suck at everything I should just use Sudoku' because then you'll get nothing done and you'll be crying in a corner waiting for one of the mistresses to beat you up and make you feel better. And then crying even harder because they're laughing too hard to even do that.
As unhappy as I am with these delays and mini-previews (extraordinarily unimpressed, in fact. A 1/6 update that itself was delayed and given in preview form... jFc), there's a lot of nonsense you've said here. There is no way on God's green Earth that anyone here is going to make a competitive fork. Dispense with the fantasy. Also, rewrite the engine? Rewrite RPGMaker, the most broadly used beginner game engine? ... There is not a single developer on this entire forum that could rewrite the engine, myself included. It is spectacularly good at what it does. Koda didn't even CHOOSE the engine, that was Bo.

In addition, "Trash the dev, keep the artist"? No, you'd be trashing half the devs (since Bo helps with that), and trashing the only competent writer. With the way you lot carry on, you're all professional game developers. I'm willing to bet there isn't even a competent porn writer here, since that alone is extraordinarily uncommon and nowhere near as easy as you think.

I lost just about all my faith in Koda after this shitshow, but no one here is going to fork ToT for more than 5 minutes and this fantasy is no better than the 8 year old who says he's going to run away from home and survive on his own.

Floor 7 has gone from 70 percent completion to around 10, they decided that the whole massive labyrinth style floor was just wasting time so there gonna make scarlet sized instead.
wait what? is this true or just a troll?

Scariest part about this is that I want to believe you are just trolling us, but after that preview dissapointment, I'm not sure anymore.

You know, people in this forum who play tons of porn games and, not just the few that cater to their fetishes like me, have really unfavourable opinions about RPGM as a game engine (topic always came up in threads about Koblas' games, since he was learning RPGM). I used to think they were being dumb, calling it a "walking simulator", saying Ren'Py was always better than it. The way I saw it, with Ren'Py you were sort of restricted to VN-like games, since that's all that I had played on there, while RPGM felt more "actual game-like", and had a lot of potential for people to do creative stuff with it. Now that I've played a bunch more games, I think that those people may have been right and RPGM is maybe too basic or something. Maybe Bo should look into changing engines for whatever next game he has in mind (hopefully it's Pokemon), if he and Koda are having so much trouble coding. Then again, hopefully Koda isn't part of Bo's next project :sneaky:. There's also the engine that zzinzinz uses, WOLF RPG Editor, he seems to be able to make a lot of progress using that, but it could be too advanced, I have no idea.

If anyone's interested, the game which made me realize Ren'Py's potential was Monster Girl Dreams by Threshold. It also made me realize Koda's writing was nothing to write home about. Only pitfall it has is the lack of art, but the writing is so good that if you're like me you'll forget about it. Highly recommend it (not to mention Threshold seems like a responsible fellow, a breath of fresh air coming over from ToT).

Looks like someone's gotten triggered by grape soda.

WOLF RPG Editor
Fuck Wolf RPG. No matter what I do, I just can't get it to work ever. No matter which game I download, Wolf keeps fucking up everything. Sound crashes the game and the text is always more garbled then chicken scratch. It feels like I'm trying to run a Wii game on an Atari.

Huh. That's weird. I think I used to have issues playing Parade Buster untranslated, but when I changed my system locale to Japanese it fixed itself. Never had any other issues with it.

what if the only bo worked on this game and not two guys i mean whats the result i remeber when this game was created and bo was happy that he finaly made a master piece and i remeber his other game i think it was about cops it didnt include the foot thing tough oh well ...... i can say that people stay here waiting for this game just because there is no other one that has the same stuff from foot fetish to mind controlling this game is indeed good but man it takes so much time if there was another game that can compete with it i can tell u the dev will finish this game in months just to prevent the donaters from leaving

I did not understand. They decided to do something new, unusual and large-scale, but they had problems and it turned out to be more difficult than it seemed at first glance and they will now do everything as before or they will learn something new and will try to improve their skills and continue to do something in future like the 7th floor but faster?

The fact is that, while RPGMaker simplifies a lot of things (like the map, hitboxes, character movement and the whole battle/stats system) and gives you quite a lot of assets, it's extremely limiting (if you want to add slightly more advanced features you have to basically hack them while fighting with the engine). The over-semplification also enforces bad coding habits that make it very hard to expand and keep working on the game once it has reached a decent size.
For example, the whole "title system". I actually believe the devs that it took a lot of time, because you have to fight with the engine.
RPGMaker is also quite awful for the end user (low resolution, unskippable sequences and general clunkiness).
