I kinda get why a lot of guys here are rooting for Lester. He’s sort of an underdog and loser. However he’s really not, he truly is a calculating manipulator. He knows what he wants and he’s so far got his way. He’s already succeeded with his mind games with Sarah. She’s sexually satisfied and is pampered with expensive things. Two things women long for is sexual compatibility and financial security. If Lester succeeds in making her fall for him before the truth is revealed. Sarah would have a very difficult choice ahead.
In fact, Sarah has no choice. Lester is the man who gives freedom, security, and care, unlike the loser Dan, and deep down her soul she perfectly understands that Lester is her future.
From chapter 16, Dan became the background in this story as an annoying fly and does not affect anything at all. You should always look at what they do, not what they say.
Dan will still be very lucky if he ends up homeless or in prison, at the hands of Sara and manipulated by Lester, and not at the hands of himself, although I don't know which is better. It's a dark story DS said….
That in real life and in stories there is a point of no return, so we have already passed this point. Dan is the past for Sarah, so he should not do it now.

The logical and rational side of Sarah would care a lot if she found out she was being filmed - pissed likely. The dark side of Sarah wouldn't care. However I think you've stumbled on a new manipulation or leverage point at the very least it could be a new sex scene.
Imagine Lester easing Sarah into knowing about being filmed at the apartment and house by getting her hooked on watching the video of her/lester/jesse from the hotel. We know how much she likes being on display and watched now, so this could be a new kink for her and an escape hatch for Lester if she found out or he told her he'd been recording them the whole time.
In fairness I just did a quick scan for the attributes description but first blush, I don't see the similarity beyond older/rougher sort of dude. Now the scenario in general, yeah it's similar. Having said that there really isn't a story that hasn't been told. The bones of a story I mean - nothing new under the sun - how you tell it is what makes it unique or different.

If indeed your theory comes true and Dan gets pushed to the background and/or kicked to the curb, who then becomes the new Batman to Lesters Joker? Who becomes the new obstacle for Lester to overcome or get in his way?
Truth be told, I am just dark and like dark endings. In life I have to look for the good, so in fiction : Empire Strikes Back was the single best.
I wonder how much credence DS actually gives to his audience's wants. Does it really influence his story decisions or does he write the story that he first had a passion to write?
Damn right, ESB, was the first sequel to be better than the original.
On topic though - what is the line you won't cross when reading dark fiction, that snaps you out of it?
Dan is already on the sidelines, he and his actions do not affect anything globally, Lester leads the first violin and Dan is a boy for beating, mockery and abuse.
When Sara leave him or they make a full cuckold, that will be the end of the story.
Under-age children and sex. I was an abused child and I do not abide by that in any form. I also am against people using as their possible abuse as a trial defense for any myriad of criminal offenses. I was abused and would rather kill myself than touch a child. Free will is a big thing with me. Your past doesn't control your motions and movements, you do.
That being said though, my leanings are toward corruption and betrayal. I have written erotica in the past and am kind of the grandfather of the bully/mom story. Everyone has to be of age, but I just thought one day, what if a normally good (at least seen as good) mother had her sadistic roots come to the surface after seeing her son, a typical high school nerd, beat up by a bully. Turning that into an affair and manipulation of her 18 year old son, she manages to betray her husband, her son, and anyone else that might see it as wrong and had faith in her. Don made a list of possible story lines for short stories at one point and asked who wanted which story to be written by him. He offered a bully and mom trapped on an island as an idea. I asked him if he minded if I worked on that idea, myself. The story's title is Bully Island and have been throwing different ideas on my metaphorical board for a few months, so far, to see what sticks and should be able to start writing it soon.

I only have two chapters left up at this point. Getting to chapter 1 will get you to two. The story was supposed to be a lot longer, but things got in the way, leave it at that.

Unfortunately capitalism has a lot of influence on direction and longevity of Toxic Attraction currently. It has turned off some of the fan base while others are too far in to hit the eject button. It’s interesting to see how Don’s other stories don’t garner the same number of interest. All the additional filler, kinks and superfluous story arcs you see in Toxic is due to requests made by his upper tiered paying simps. It’s was crazy for Don not to entertain their kinks while having a chance to make a little extra income in hope one of his other stories will hit.
First, my sympathies for the trauma you've had to endure, no child should have to experience that. And apologies, I should have stipulated that was a non-starter, at least in my book.
Lately I've been gravitating towards the defilement/corruption taboos, but I think that has a lot to do with my fascination with why people do what they do, what triggers their fall, etc. That's cool that you write - look forward to reading it (saw the link).

That's sad to hear. We're all human and subject to temptation, but I would have thought the integrity of his story would have won out. Its fine for others to provide feedback, fan theories, etc., but it shouldn't drive the story. Better to use those ideas as spin off one shot stories, better yet write that story as a commissioned piece for that individual, and keep TA on track.
