Reality is never sexy proposition. Don has Dan, Lester, Sarah, Cash, Otis, Eugene, Ned, Jesse, Byron and the other cast of characters doing or being anything if he wills it. It’s all make believe.
What I am pointing out it’s absolutely foolish to make assumptions based on the information parsed and call someone a loving, caring family man. One’s definition of loving, caring family man maybe totally different from another. Maybe Don’s idea of loving caring parent is being a satellite parent who chooses needs and work over family. Sarah is not immune to the same criticism, but again reality is never sexy.

Well I definitely won’t be complaining if we dust that milestone. I know for a lot of old timers who lurk on this thread, it’s been awesome seeing the increased traffic and the great comments posted. Maybe I should have said 150 or 200 pages

We are coming upon the weekend and I’ve decided to check but Don has not posted anything new. I did read on chat someone (don’t know if credible but he posts a lot) commented Byron will be making a guest appearance in Ch.26. Take it how you will, but let the speculation begin. I will keep everyone posted.

Well that would track if we get a Dan fights back chapter - still think he's going to go to TLG to fight Lester.
As long as he guest appears in side plots, not around Sarah, I'm fine with that.

All this possible cat and mouse scenarios make me think of the movie Now You See Me. Dan, Byron and possibly Jesse are so focused on taking down on Lester so they can have Sarah for themselves they don’t see the slight of hand performed by Lester and Sarah where the gentleman get exposed and humiliated.
I really hope DS isn't having Sarah fuck anyone but Lester for the upcoming chapters. Bringing Byron/Otis/Jesse back would ruin the story.

I do as well, but we are past due for Don’s famous one step forward, three step back moment. If Don adds significant paper space for these hanger ons or Dan pours ice water on their love life for this upcoming chapter, it muddies up the progress we are starting to see with Sarah and Lester.
Most probably scenes with Byron will be used as fillers to get to the usual page numbers that DS does in a chapter.

I've been giving this a lot of thought. DS isn't stupid. He has a hit on his hands and I'm sure regardless of what he may have intended for the story, the money that's rolling in is a factor. He now has to walk a tight rope of creating enough content to satisfy as many people as he can and extend the story for as long as it's making him money. I mean I realistically believe that he could draw this out for at least 20-30 chapters, but to do so he will have to have a few B stories working in the background, i.e., TLG, Sentinel, Dan's Fight, The Hospital takeover, etc.
My only wish is that the B stories were as captivating as the main story. Do some flashbacks of Lester/Lizzie, or other women Lester has preyed on in the past, have Dan grow a pair and tell Sarah he's going to walk on the wild side and find him a side piece, or maybe give us some history of Sarah and Dan, entertaining the idea of sharing prior to meeting Lester, etc.
I couldn't agree more. Id love to hear about Lester's past, how he became the man he is today. The hospital drama/Lincoln group shit is so boring. I skip them on every first read and have to reread it to check if I missed anything important.
Why was Lester so confident he'd fuck Sarah is an issue id love to see explored. There's no reason a fat ugly guy wouldn't just think he'd run his luck after scoring Lizzie and making her leave. Yet at soon as he sees Sarah, he knows he'll corrupt their relationship. This is more interesting than corporate espionage

Yes Don could theoretically keep Toxic Attraction going for as long as time, but at what cost. I would hope Don is battling internally in regards to the future of Toxic. His other works have not hit the right combination of characters or sequence. But if he relies only on Toxic and suddenly has a jump the shark moment Don could lose his subscriber base. Don is capable of writing high quality work. Have Toxic Attraction end on a high note. If Don is unsure of his abilities to recreate the magic create spin offs or prequels to Toxic. Examples I thought of: who was Lester Marshall first victim, what happened to Lizzie and Issac when she returned home, Dan trying to pick up his life, but the urge hits with his new girlfriend, Lester and Sarah corrupting other couples or Dan’s new religious wife, or the Marshall legacy where the next generation (daughters or son) continue the corruption of others.
What do you think of a Toxic Attraction part 2 or do you have a good spin off or prequel idea for Don?
A Lester prequel and a Sarah sequel sounds more interesting to me. Maybe Don could go Godfather part II and try to tell them simultaneously (jk)
I'm actually looking forward to Don's take on undercover genre. I know he's been toying with that particular idea for a while and wanna see if he could bring anything fresh to the table (or under it!)
I think the ending would be Lester get a heart attack during sex. Months later, the attorney letter show up saying Lester muti-millions dollars trust under her name. With all the sex tapes and hacking, without paying rent, Lester put always truck load of money and now all going to Dan and Sarah.
