I think the most interisting part in this chapter is Sarah-Otis interaction. The Lester-Sarah fucking is the same as the last 10 chapters, so less interisting itself, but in this case is not groundeless, because it is needed as a meaningful motivation for Sarah going to Otis which otherwise would have been forced. By itself Lester request hasnt a real ground at this point of the story but destroy Sarah reputation at work for his wicked purposes.

Sarah-Otis is hot, not fucking is beliavable too because there was Lester around and Sarah was doing a chore basically, but Sarah was clearly surprised by Otis attitude, and could fuck him later, outside Lester knowledge, if he(and he will…) exploits her submissive side.

Of course it does depend strongly on the usage(timing) of the recording Lester has done.

I'm not gonna be too harsh since this is alpha draft. I personally felt this chapter a bit underwhelming, especially both the sex scenes felt a bit been-there-done-that. I think the reason is where it ends. It was not bad ending, it was just....nothing. BUT In past chapters whenever Lester and Sarah have sex and a third person is involved Sarah always goes for another round where she tries to gain upperhand ( eg. The one with pizza delivery and the parking lot with Otis). That and the part where Lester wondering if she's gonna go home or come back to his office make me feel like there might be more after this. Maybe she goes back straight to him and break HIS office, that would be nice.

As people have pointed out the whole Otis section didn't do a lot. We've seen Sarah have sex/exhibited/even bj-d strangers. I dont know what Lester meant by further degradation. I also felt it was a bit sudden. Little bit more showing and teasing beforehand would've made it a little better for me.

Again, this is my personal opinion, I wish it was Richard instead of Otis (we don't know what he particularly told her, i would imagine him asking her to pleasure someone from office who has a crush on her and she willfully misinterpret it and goes to ol'dick) I'm not a fan of either of these characters but atleast her putting moves on Richard will atleast move the plot along and maybe creates another hurdle for Lester to handle.

Well the first best part of the chapter was when Jesse was thinking of Sarah and his attempt to make her his and also saving her from Lester and the second best part was Otis trying to give Sarah his no.

I am more interested in these two developments in the upcoming chapters.

Also let’s not underestimate Dan, cz he will surely come up with a plan (Jesse, Lizzie or Ned) to bring down Lester.

Granted it's an alpha, but as predicted it's a maintenance chapter, don't hate me but next chapter will likely be one as well.

Dan: Glad to see some character growth and his true inner struggle with his desires. I see DS laying some groundwork for Dan becoming better equipped to deal with his problem. I did find it interesting that Dan's now hiding things from Sarah, trust erosion, understandable but a departure from their once "we're in this together" motto on both sides.

Sarah: Nice to see that Sarah has finally accepted her divided mind. As some have suggested I don't see her reluctant in this chapter - she is divided and hasn't picked a lane yet. Some part of her still loves Dan (you don't turn that shit off overnight) and yet she also accepts that Lester is better at sex and starting to see how he's better in other areas of her life. I know Adam, it's not the speed you would like it to be, but she has progressed - Ugly roommate to ugly marital sex toy to Chicago boyfriend and in this chapter, her lover (her words not mine).

Lester: This one has me confused, it's such a hard left turn from the character personality developed up to this point. It was such an abrupt transitions from the Meeting with Marry to Sex in his office scenes, it gave me figurative mental whiplash. Lester defends her vs Mary, showing that in some fashion Lester cares about Sarah but then becomes damn near venomous with his inner monologue and spoken words, almost as if he's grudge fucking her. DS keeps telling us Lester doesn't want to share her but then he keeps doing it.

What possible reasons: 1) DS didn't write this chapter, someone who isn't in Lester's headspace wrote it without fact checking previous chapters. 2) DS is emphatically stating this isn't a romantic relationship, Lester has never cared for Sarah, more than her being a challenge to conquer. 3) Lester is exercising an extreme form of manipulation and mind-fuckery to break her will and make her choose "Lester" as her lane.

Side note: I know it's about the same length, but did anyone else feel like there was less there?

I have a new Dark Ending theory to add to my growing list. I could see the story ending with Dan becoming so fucked up over what Sarah has become, after Lester is done with her, that when he takes her back. And nightly he restrains her to the bed and hate fucks her, thereby in his eyes punishing her for her actions. Essentially becoming his pain slut.

there's a ton of filler. like the whole detailing the hack thing took up two pages. there are hints that sarah is asking for a reason, but nothing could justify two pages of incorrectly used techno-jargon. don likes to show off vicariously through lester, "yea, i know what Bad Rabbit is, can you believe it??????"

See I had the similar feeling when I read the Sarah asking about hacking part. Like he was just thinking about how Sarah makes it worth to stay at the hospital, immediately figures out that she's is probing him, and distracts her with no other sense of betrayal/ disappointment/excitement(questionable hackery aside, suspention of disbelief and all that). The whole time I was wondering why is this completely on Lester's POV and wondered if Sarah's parallel thought process would've juiced up what could've been an interesting back and forth. Weirdly Don never brought up what she thought if it (did she buy it or not) even during the inner monologue after he stood up for her, when she was thinking how she thought he was just a schemer.

I see what you're saying - it does feel a bit like the whole secret society TLG stuff. However reading this chapter, I think what I really meant is it felt - Empty.

BTW shout out to all the fine folks who posted their thoughts in this thread. Agree or disagree, I really enjoyed reading all of them and finding out which ideas hit closer (Lester and Sarah discussing how to stone wall Mary is something we've all discussed a few pages back, Lester and Sarah banging in new office, Sarah blowing Otis, hints of Jesse becoming a stalker) and which ideas were far off( Mary is Ghislaine, Byron making a cameo). Glad to be seen:)

I think so too, that the Sarah-Otis session was hot. It could have been better if he had removed more of those parts where she was talking to herself and looking for Lester, and expanded more on how horny she had gotten from the whole episode (perhaps even touching herself or encouraging him to take her). Maybe it's also a way out for DS - that she'll eventually ditch Lester and the series ends with her being liberated (sexually and of him).

Yeah every chapter is worse than the previous one, now its clear that Don just make the series longer to earn more money
No, it's just a completely different story with the same title to keep money flowing. The original Toxic Attraction was left behind 10 chapters ago. lol
Some people enjoy the way it is and others hate it.

Love him or hate him, Lester will be in this story to the bitter end. You don't invest 500k+ words into your 3 major characters and then just ditch one of them before the end.

Its great to see eve’s reaction to Don’s alpha chapter, but should reserve judgement calling a chapter filler or trash until the last edits and revisions are completed. We have seen in the past Don inserting or revising a paragraph to include a flashback scene or Don might add a new scene. Don considers the feedback he receives from his fanbase and editors.

I wish Lester held steadfast with his statement at the end of Ch.25 and started keeping Sarah for himself. I didn’t understand the whole Otis ending as did many in chat. Why declare this at the end of chapter 25 then have Sarah service Otis. Not making much sense. All this does is drag out the interest of certain segment of the population who want to see Sarah with someone else like Otis or Jesse. This story started the three main characters and I hope we see the fates of those same characters.
