I was looking at the short story list. Besides the undercover idea (my preference) I also liked the hostage situation concept. Perfect for a short story. The punk brother, idk, feels closer to cucked by incel story. Rest is meh to me.

The problem with Don in Toxic Attraction lately it’s the same playbook over and over but expecting different results. Don loves to rehash the same sex scenes but with slight differences hoping his fan base will be satisfied till next month. I guess Don’s new rule is always keep them wanting. He has been struggling to meet his monthly deadlines (set by himself). If you compare the body and quality of his earlier work to the chapters you see today, I’m beginning to agree with an earlier post stating maybe someone other than Don has been ghost writing scenes or even whole chapters.

Not disputing your theories, but I am curious what would your or any of our thoughts be on how long (how many chapters) TA should have been. Hard to do I realize but step back to just having read chapter 5 - how many more chapters do you think it should have been from that point to the finale?

Theoretically Toxic Attraction could have wrapped up within 20 chapters if he avoided the extra sidebar scenes to fulfill the paying simps. However if he wraps up Toxic Attraction soon how many of his paying Patreon fans will drop off after the final is released? I say quite a bit because Don only gets paid when he releases a long format story. Neighborhood Encounter is not doesn’t have long shelf life as Burt and Clara already had their first sexual interaction usually it snowballs there to the end unless Don writes sidebar scenes to extend the story.
Don’s work was high level quality with very in-depth scenes and character interaction and deception in the first 18 chapters. Anyone who read one of those chapters probably searched immediately for the more. Don’s chapters now lack the same gravitas to satisfy long time readers when they compare it to his past chapters . The editors started to get a lot more attention around the Ch.20 mark and unfortunately you see editors like Grandeman who added his input which brought in Otis scene with the love seat to Ch.26 because he wanted to integrate Otis more into the storyline

I'm not defending DS nor am I looking to burn him at the cross, but it's got to be a rough position to be in, when you've put all your eggs in one basket and you don't have a few new stories brewing on the backburners.
Based on your second section, and I realize it's your opinion on the matter, slow-burn and character building is the formula that works; i.e. the reason you state NE isn't working is because it's going to fast. Does that put people into three camps; those who want slow burn in-depth story, those who like the sex scenes and those who want some of both?
I've been rereading the story and I can't overstate how good chapters 13-18 were. Probably the best erotic content I've ever read. It's a shame how listless the story has become. I understand that he had to pander to his subs but including Otis/Jesse/Byron has diluted the power of the narrative.
I think DS can keep his money up if he does a prequel to this one exploring how lester became who he did. I also like neighbor encounters and hope we get more of it

I agree, I'd be interested in reading a prequel of Lester's beginnings, however I'd like to see him be less superhuman (as GGCaesar has mentioned in the past), see him making mistakes and set backs along the way. I think if DS did it right, he'd be able to satisfy a larger segment of his readership as well, by not focusing the series on just one target but having multiple ones. Such as maybe Lizzie is the A story, but we see him working his game on other women as well, some falling into his schemes and some not. Would provide a grounded central story but also enough variety for those that like a different flavor of the month.

First thing came to my mind when I read the line "deconstruction of Sarah Williams as a professional" was Lester enforcing a new 'dress code' just for Sarah. All her descriptions shows her donning very professional pantsuits to work and she has already mentioned before that she wears sexy underwear to work to feel powerful. So i thought Lester would making her wear more revealing clothes in the office.

I wanted the share this story I read earlier. It was written way back in 2011. Check out the character names and their description. I know Sarah and Dan are common names but still in a way it reminds me of TA but in a different multiverse lol.

To be honest, until the story was centered in the apartment in Chicago, the Lester “superhero” wasn’t a major problem.
I mean he was in his kingdom where everything was under the control of his skills. Any of them included social skills. There is a couple at the total mercy of a predator. We can feud over some small part of his movements but all in all was fairly believable.
What is totally unbelievable, imho, his the Lester superhero outside that specific environment, bc otherwise he would have played this game well before. And this doesn’t seem the story.
This is why I “hope” this is only Lester standpoint to have all in his control, whereas the reality will put him is his place at some moment with his fall due to his arrogance.
For the sake of story plausibility (for what is possible, we are talking about a borderline one of course), not for my will for any specific outcome.

To me this story has lost my interest the same sex scenes since 17 they done had the same sex scenes I don't know why he thru Byron in it but ok plus it doesn't make any since for dan to be that dam weak this story ain't going no where he just don't know how to end it this don't need to be 30 to35 chapters

One of my all-time favourite stories from Literotica.
Sarah is Sarah and Dan is Lester.
Does make you wonder if this was Don's inspiration for TA.

Lot of similarities but time to not old man yelling a clouds. The biggest thing that annoys me about Literotica is the author will pen a great story and then BOOM you will never hear from them again. There are several authors I‘I follow on Literotica, but about to give up hope ever reading a sequel. The author uploaded the story in 2011, but for some reason never followed up or added another story. This is the reason why I love Don Silver, I expect and receive at least one story each month
This story was continued by another author in 2020, unfortunately they only wrote the one episode with these two characters.
