If Don wrote a character exploration chapter, in which you found out that she was either abused or enamored with someone in her family (step-father) because of his forceful ways with her, when she was headed toward a bad place in a teen-age mind and that person became something for her, that became her secret crush and from there she never met anyone forceful like that until Lester and she just falls under a spell, she can't help it. I know, probably too late for that, but even a teacher like that could explain a lot, especially if Sarah never acted on it and Dan's fantasy gave her an opening she did not truly understand until it was too late.

It might be a stretch but Don alluded to word “daddy” in several chapters. Could be possible Sarah has daddy issues or her dad did something to her. The only hint we received as readers was her phone interaction and her hesitation of calling her dad “daddy”. But she is past of the point of no return. Question is who will reign her in now. I couldn’t believe Don wrote Lester just shambled away back to his room. All this time he was written as an alpha

I wish I saw consistency in Dan’s temper. Chapter 20 Dan was aroused after seeing Lester and Sarah but angry enough to say their safe word, physically grabbed Lester, and shoved him out of his house, forced himself onto Sarah and continued into the morning during their verbal spat. However by the next chapter we are supposed to believe all that hate and anger is water under the bridge. Again Dan is aroused while observing Sarah break their rules by having sex with multiple men. The same man Dan just threw out and now we add a complete stranger. Where was the hate and anger from Dan? No Dan just showed Sarah a weak approving smile and walked somberly back to his room. We read an amped up version Dan viewed in Chapter 20, but in 21 he was just fine with everything he saw enough to yank on his pud when Sarah appeared in the bedroom. Oh okay
I think Dan actually likes to think he is an Alpha, but when he meets men like Lester and Byron, he is at a loss. It is one thing to power someone physically around, but people like Lester and Byron not only out-think him, but then lord it over him. People like Jesse and Peter are who he normally has no problem controlling as they are just users and bottom-feeders. I think Dan feels, in many ways, less than people like Lester and Byron as they are smarter than him and he lacks complete confidence in his own intelligence.
He always has to build himself into it, or talk him self into it or have Sarah boost his self-image when he is looking at jobs and ways to save his family. Sarah has to convince Dan that he is a great head-of-family before she eventually questions him being capable of that position as she has been actually taking on that role for months, if not years, and that is not what she wanted in life. Yes, she wanted to be a partner but also controlled in some ways by the masculinity of her husband and what she misses as she finds him an apartment in Chicago, or finds him ads for jobs in the paper, of acts as the bread-winner in her own job as opposed to Dan.
She runs her household and she always wanted Dan to do that and he won't, but Lester will and does and that turns her the fuck on as that is what she perceives as masculine and sexy and Dan is, just -- quite frankly -- missing that. I have though about it, long and hard and this answers many issues presented to the reader of this most recent chapter. Sarah is tired of asking Dan what to do and he hems and haws and is really milque-toastish and indecisive. Lester doesn't need to be asked, he tells hers what is going to happen and then he does it, causing Sarah to melt into a puddle on the floor for him instead of her husband.
Lester tells Sarah that she craves him and she is wet for him as she thinks about him and his cock throughout the day, at home and work. He asks if she has ever been as affected by Dan as she is by himself and she tells him, never. Not like she is with Lester. It no longer becomes about just the cock size. "Who's the better fuck Sarah, me or Dan?" Without hesitation she cries out, even now, in front of her husband, "you are Lester!" He asks, who owns her pussy and then who owns her as a person and she answers, "You Lester, you own me!" once again, in front of her husband.
There are only two questions left to ask in front of Dan to solidify himself as the head of this household, displacing Dan, entirely. They are, "Who would you rather make love to, not fuck, if given the choice and do you love me?" Maybe when these questions are asked and answered in front of Dan, his heart breaks and he attempts to hurt Lester again, Sarah will stand up and defend Lester, pushing her husband away, before she takes Lester to his bedroom and locks the door to keep Dan out.
Knowing all this now and able to juxtapose this argument, I think Dan is perfectly right in just where he has them.

Ok, thought about this and no. I believe Richard Thornhill is Lester's best porn customer. The one who wanted to get pics of Sarah, without knowing anything about her really. I do believe he hires Lester as head of IT, but to force the issue with Sarah, including fucking the shit out of her, with Lester. He wants pics taken and Sarah to be blackmailed as he now has Lester under his thumb, but Lester refuses, but arranges for her to be fucked pretty regularly after Lester's hiring, in order to save Lester. The catch? Lester tells her that he was hired to let Richard control him, unknowingly to Lester. Richard was his biggest customer and Lester stopped everything upon meeting Sarah and he couldn't stand for her to know him that way. Sarah volunteers photos (starting to mull over selling them, for the money, but needs many questions from Lester answered. She also tells him that she will fuck him, but only with Lester taking part, so she can feel safe...she doesn't trust Richard in any way. Lester says, You have to agree though, because, otherwise, Richard will ruin me...Dan can't know anything about any of this. She argues but eventually agrees. This is a really good deduction and I like they way you think. I assumed Richard was Kronos Lester’s online customer. I’m sure there will be a blackmail attempt. If it was Dan he would fold like a cheap suit due to his indecision, but Lester always plays 4D chess where he far ahead of his opponent. A lot of luck helps and except for this recent blunder with Vernon (or maybe not) he always has something in his pocket to counteract any attacks and can cover his tracks well, like the four horsemen magicians in the movie Now You See Me.
Don loves placing these minor characters with tidbits of information and intrigue. They have little value, but gives us readers something to speculate and make WAG. I love a good mystery and the game Clue. it benefits Don to extend Toxic Attraction for as long as the creativity or Patreon dollars flow. I hope you get your wish and Sarah and Lester have to fuck their way to freedom. Their D&D characters (Lady Val and the barbarian) tag teaming against the forces of Richard Thornhill or a locked bedroom.
Also i was hoping Lester would spring a kill shot to Dan to move this story further by pushing Sarah to see who she love. However that was dashed with Sarah having her mouth full and amped up to the max horniness level (I finally wonder if she is pregnant)

I don’t see any signs with Dan. Sarah definitely displays the signs of OCD. She is organized and has a constant routine every week at work and home. She cringed when her office and house was destroyed by her and Lester. I am assuming Dan and their daughters are opposite of her, but tolerate her OCD. Lester ha turned her world upside down regarding clutter, but now those same smells and trash remind Sarah of the great sex she is having with Lester and her newfound freedom.

Good point Chillie (or is it Willie?). I thought about this all day and believe that Dan's lack of attention to details has allowed Lester into his online life on multiple occasions and if he was truly OCD, it would be like Monk online and there would be so many locks and barricades that not even the best hacker might have been able to get into his stuff. In fact, I believe that it is only a matter of time before Dan leaves his government computer where Lester can get to it and then he is in a world of SHIT. Lester might help him with something, but it will come at great cost to him.
Also, my primary argument would be yours, that if he was truly OCD, the whole Jessie situation would have been such a shit show of a badly handled methodology to act like he is a hacker, which he isn't (it is not a bad thing to not be a hacker, some are geniuses with computers (Lester) and some are just users of computers, like Dan, so he should stop pretending to be what he is not, it just gets him into trouble.
What I think Dan sounds like is the high school football player, who is also the school bully. He is at odds with those more clever than him and his first reaction is physicality. However, as with most bullies, his attitude is belied by deeper psychological issues than his mind can comprehend and Sarah -- his cheerleader girlfriend, who just got a scholarship to Penn State, is hard working and book smart, but blinded by her love for this big luggish bully, that she just can't see it, because love is blind.
That's my take.

You can call me Chillie Psiber (one day you have to tell me the origin/meaning of Psiber). I love you take on Dan being a jock and Sarah the cheerleader girlfriend seems appropriate. During the D&D session, Dan did allude how his HS buddies would think if they saw him playing this game. Very jock/bully mentality. Always got his way by flashing a smile and smooth talking, but probably with low IQ. I bet Dan’s password to his laptop is probably something simple like Password123. Remember Dan never set a passcode on his phone and Jessie gained at the hotel to sext with Sarah. Not a very smart or tech savvy move by Dan and had to look up a how-to as well.
