Is the html version of the game to be considered dead? If so, is there any other version? I read about a Ren'Py version, does it exist here on F95 or is it only discussed on patreon?

anyone have a save with the endings unlocked?
Doubtful. I have all the endings saved but not in a single file because of the limitations of the save system. The new game will be better. If you can't find a specific ending just ask or the patreon page has a full walkthrough.

Stumbled the game on a website and it looks great so far! Hopefully will write a review after I finish this
I hope you enjoy the game. Thanks in advance for the review! I always appreciate feedback. I think that's one of the reasons the game will be good eventually. At this point I am well aware of the flaws and have tried to mitigate them in the VN. The main thing people complain about is there isn't enough content and the beta is not a complete game, but I don't really view those as problems since they get solved when the game is completed.

The html game is in limbo until the VN is released. There is a Ren'Py visual novel of Transfigure that has been in development for several years. I have let my patrons and volunteers from F95 play the demo and I have used that feedback to create the new updated version that should be out for patrons this month. The newest version is by far the best so just wait for that. It has been a long development road but I am nearing the end of it.

Question: Is there a problem with Patreon?
Is it broken?
There are many problems with Patreon, you will have to be more specific.

Cool. Does it have new content or just a better interface/engine? I really liked the HTML version.
I have not publicly released the full feature list but is intended to be a full service visual novel. It will be one of the only ones on this site that is produced in English and it will probably be the largest of its kind. The demo has four endings and the final game will have about a hundred. I think the visual novel will be better than the HTML game in pretty much every metric but I will see how my patrons react to the newest heavily upgraded build release this month. I have held off a public release several times but I am finally nearing that point.

Hey Tango, hope you are doing well! Do you know when the test build will be publicly released? Looking forward to playing it and seeing how much progress has been made

I have a new build that should be out around mid-month for patrons. Then probably one more for polish and extra content. The public release has to line up with some other things like the Steam page so there are a few moving pieces. I would estimate August for when everything goes live with a gradual ramp-up of builds, posts, and bonus content starting roughly now. There are a lot of juicy private posts on Patreon if anyone is curious to see the progression.

I have not hyped up or advertised the game yet because it has been a state of construction and creative flux for a long time. That changes this month. The Transfigure butterfly is about to emerge from its cocoon.

Sounds great! How much of the HTML version of the game does this new version cover so far? Is it still "just" a demo to show what's possible with the new technology used, or have significant parts of the HTML version been adapted into the new game? Thanks in advance, can't wait to play the new game

I don't know where the line gets drawn between a demo and an early access title. Just like the original Transfigure release, I want to preview and show off some of the diverse characters and routes that exist. The test build currently has 4 endings, including most of the early character introductions and some of the first sex scenes. It probably takes an hour or two to finish, which translates to a free timed 1 hour demo on Steam.

Almost the whole html game script has been added to the VN (and the early game is playable) but the later content is gated until I complete the remaining artwork. However, because I completed this stage and I've worked a lot on the game's art (and making production as fast as I can), reaching parity with the html game beyond the demo's initial offering will be very fast.

The idea is I put out EA1, players can play, buy it on Steam or Patreon and get EA2 and then a constant stream of updates until completion within 6-12 months. Never before seen content will appear this summer or fall and I hope to be caught up with the html around Christmas, leaving a final slice for the endgame and polish. With what I have now I'm certain the game will get done but the final number of assets, quality, and consistency will be based on how successful the initial EA launch interest is.

It's mid-August already, any new developments?
Yes, unfortunately if you haven't heard, Steam has been taken over by Visa and MasterCard right before I launched my game. This means the future of all gaming is in jeopardy and Steam no longer controls Steam. This is the biggest threat to modern art ever. My launch and that of 10,000s of other indie devs have been blocked. Adult games, normal games, art, media, it's all thrown into disarray. The new standards are impossible to meet by design so that they can kill and control gaming. It makes zero sense that Visa and MasterCard now decide what you buy and what games are made but that is the world we live in. There is a Trump EO and a lot of push back but things are only getting worse, not better. I don't have a place to launch my game. I am not allowed to sell it even though it is essentially a novel. It is 100% legal but the Puritan Cartel hates everything. I had to lobby for my basic free speech rights to be returned the past month and the right to trade in legal goods but it's unclear if I am able to leave the underclass and become a human again. Currently I have less rights than a normal citizen in the West even though they are inalienable and I did not voluntarily give them up. It's very unfair for this power-tripping cartel to wave a global magic wand and censor the world above all laws and democracy right before I sell my game I've worked years on. This is the kind of stuff that starts civil wars. You can't take away people's rights and dignity like that without consequences.

So things are very complicated. I don't believe in censoring art so I am probably just going to starve and suffer like a stubborn bastard until these people STFU and stop infringing on my rights. I am continuing development but no one can make any games or anything in this environment so I hope consumers of this media will continue to rise up. Game of Thrones could not exist in 2025. This is the most serious issue I've seen in decades and it is more important than adult games or gaming in general because this precedent applies to all transactions and is a giant loophole that allows these corporations to completely bypass democracy and become de-facto arbiters of all the world's commerce.

If you want good art and videogames please fight for them. The indies have risen up. If you join us we will win and make awesome games. If you don't, the indies will be slaughtered and RIP gaming.

Thanks for your interest in my project! Things are still quite complicated with Steam banning adult EA but I hope to have some positive announcements soon. Development progress has been really good.

Any other html games like this?
You can click the link in my signature and then check themes on tfgs. There aren't a whole lot of games like this which is part of the reason I made it.

I also have a SS page (again, linked in my signature) but that platform is also getting censored and has begun purging random creators recently as within the past week (html - Degrees of Lewdity).

So I am just doing what I can to fight for creator rights while lying low and trying to finish my game that will hopefully have a home where it can be sold by the time it is nearly finished. A lot of people seem to want me to quit but I'm not going to. I am going to do my best to show that the line between smut and art can be made very unclear.
