Gaining hearts do not require you to give them gifts, it only speeds up the process to my understanding.
Only talking does take quite a while though.

The vase requires clay and another craftable, and the one you're looking for probably needs having talked to her about flowers as well and maybe an item hidden away in the west map if i remember correctly.

Along with the quest log, achievements, and so on.
All that's left are a few H-scenes and battle rape events.
