I actually haven't been playing with SFX on all this time since I put on music while I work, but looking at a few scenes there don't seem to be any. Now in the audio files of the game there's actually custom sound effects that seem appropriately titled for being used in sex scenes, but I have yet to hear them being played. I'll update you if that changes.

there are 2 people working on it, but dunno if they're still working on it or not.

From the looks of it, it seems like they've reached the playtesting stage, so they're on the final parts of it, both translators seem to be working on other projects at the same time so I'm sure if you give them some time they'll update.

I remember when that came out, people were ragging on the MTL doing it a horrible disservice, lol.

50% done, which is about 10000/20000 lines completed.

27/98 scenes completed. It seems like that’s not that much considering I’m halfway through, but a lot of the scenes are much smaller in comparison to the main scenes, some even being as little as 5-10 lines long. A lot of them fall under what the game calls “Mini-events,” so those should be easy to bang out.

I've essentially finished the main "story" of the game, with the rest of the game being a scene viewer for different girls.

As a benchmark for the game, I'm going to lay down a bit more information about the characters, the tags, and some other small details in advance. These are an optional read, and will spoil some things about the game, so spoiler warning.

For example, the "Strict Yet Reasonable and Well Meaning Adult-ass Woman" Canon Eiki is often (though not always) portrayed as a screeching and self-righteous loli with breast envy in fan works. Just something to keep in mind.

Ah. Funny you mention that. In this game she's the latter, she's a self-righteous loli-esque character with breast envy. Who may or may not be loud and screechy.

The dynamic between the sisters varies from 'Flan is an unperturbable brat (or unhinged bloodthirsty maniac) always in control whilst Remilia is a childish buffoon that cries to her maid about everything' to 'Flan is an innocent sweet bean and Remilia is the responsible older sister', depending on who's doing the writing. That first one tends to be more popular in less tonally serious works such as this one, though.

Remilia is the older sister in the canon, yes, but be aware that one of the main reasons that fandom interpretations of these characters vary so much is because the plot and characterization in the actual games is very thin. You have a couple paragraphs of plot exposition in total per game, and what we can glean from the characters such as the Scarlet sisters (who serve as level Bosses in the mainline Touhou games) come from the few lines of dialogue they have with the protagonists before they duke it out.

(There are some canon supplementary comics too, but characterization in them is not entirely consistent either between titles)

It’s fun though, and if I’m being honest the sphere of common sense alteration and NTR related English translations is pretty niche/MTL bloated so it’s nice to fill in that gap a bit.

Later into the game, these more uniform bits of body writing start popping up. What's more, some of them like this are absolutely tiny, and I doubt I'll be able to fit the text with anything but a tiny font size. Does anyone know of a suitable font?

So there's three reasons why I'm probably not going to allow me to finish this month.

One, since I am working with carolbubby, I can't guarantee that the game will be finished by then since we are operating on two separate schedules, and I would rather not rush a deadline when he could just work on his portion naturally.

Two, I actually need to playtest the game, like making sure there are no grammar mistakes and making sure I haven't missed any dialogue, as well as making sure the pictures carolbubby has translated mesh well with my translation. That in itself may take a few days. I "could" release the translation as soon as I'm done, but I want it to be shipped out knowing it's the best it can be.

And three, there is still technically 8000 lines to get through, which is still a lot.

I mean, when you first picked this game up, I thought it would be in a laid back capacity that would take like a year plus. Not for a second dared I hope we'd be getting a translation (probably, taken current pace) before Summer with picture edits to boot.

No rush, essentially, the speed here is already insane.
