If you're using a translator, and you should be, since you're posting in this thread, you should:
1. start a new project by selecting a new version of the game.
2. import your translated text from the translation project 'trans file' from the old version game.
3. Check that everything works well and continue translating.

Thank you for showing it visually step by step but the mapsxxx.json files in the older version of the game has just the "Original text" column, the "initial" column is blank as the translator put the english lines directly over the original japanese lines. Is there any way to copy the columns to initial for all the maps

Thank you for the step-by-step visual, gave a beginner like me direction on how to proceed. It took quite some time because the translated version only had one column, 'Original text,' and no 'Initial' column. When I imported the translation file into the newer version earlier, it was showing as blank. So i had to find a way to duplicate the columns for all the maps, then export and finally import them into the newer version. I guess there are easy ways to do it.

It's good that you found a solution. I would have been confused myself in such a case, it's like starting a translation from scratch.

Hasn't used this for awhile after I've found MTool. But MTool nowadays runs really badly after 20 minutes of game time. Has there any improvement on Translator++? Main reason I swapped to MTool is because when using Translator++ the game could break because of the name differences for attacks and characters.

I have a question about translator++, I have the latest version, but even with the old one I had the same problem.

When I want to translate a rpgm game, it loads it but it never comes to the end because it runs, I tried to leave it for 4 hours and nothing, impossible to enter the games, is this normal? thank you

Of course it's not normal. But what exactly went wrong, I don't know.

I am trying to open a wolfRPG game in T++, but it gets stuck at parsing. The loading bar at the bottom says 100%, but nothing else.
I am running T++ Ver.6.4.11
I am not certain if that is the latest version or not, but it will not let me update without without buying into the patreon. fuck patreon.
Anyway, I do know that the game was built using wolf v3.396, according to the T++ log.

Is there something else I am missing? or am I forced to wait for the finish button to appear? Should I try starting T++ in admin(can not recall if I have tried that)?

Hello Guys, I am getting an error in parsing/importing files on translator++

Parsing : www\php\cache\WLfdnv6hp5\data\Game.ini
Error occured! Please see console window(F12) for more information
TypeError: (val || "").trim is not a function

Any ideas or suggestions I could ask for? or is it game fault?

I think this happens sometimes when .ks files are in unicode format. Convert them to UTF-8 before starting and see. That's why I always extract the data.xp3 file by hand and reformat the .ks files before using translator++. You may need to convert the translated files back to unicode format for the game to work.

Could you please tell me how to do this and also how to return to the original format?
