I had the same error, fixed it by downloading both
Microsoft Visual c++ redistributable 2010 x64 and x86 , I had the x64 one installed already but I chose to repair it and install the other one, the game opened right away after that.

Seemed like an interesting premise but just couldnt get into it when I learned you dont get any choice whatsoever on how the story plays out and who to pursue. Wont spoil but if you find your not into the main love interest might as well just close the game
Honestly, this was probably one of my favorite h-game stories I've ever read so far. I stopped caring about the sex scenes after a certain point, because I was so invested in the world and its characters and wanted to see how things would develop. I wish I could find more like it.
