I think that part of Naomi's problem is that she confuses sex with love and believes that they are the same thing and that sex is the cure for all ills. Love and sex are not necessarily the same thing and sex definitely doesn't solve all problems. I really HATE what Naomi is doing to Alia and the way that the MC plays along with her perversions. He's just as bad as she is and between them are going to end up ruining Alia's sweet and trusting nature. Naomi says she wants to free Alia but in reality is depriving her of the chance to discover who she is, what she really wants, and all chances to make choices independently, on her own behalf, imprisoning her and keeping her under her thumb in new and more intimate ways, and the MC is playing along with it all rather than standing up to Naomi and protecting Alia. I'm not liking this part of ToN. The MC in this adventure doesn't seem to have an heroic bone in his body as far as I can see. He may have an enormous mutant cock but seems to have missed out when they were handing out backbones.
Psychopaths are often charming, charismatic and highly manipulative individuals, rarely women, but I don't think that beautiful Naomi is psychopathic, in a clinical sense, even though her behaviour often indicates so. Whatever Naomi desperately needs help from someone and I hope that the MC will step up, be a man, and help her or get professional help for her - maybe from Doctor Jessica. Tasha seems to be breaking away from Naomi now, less influenced by her and more her own woman although still a temperamental, volatile and a bit more than slightly crazy one.
Repeatedly fucking her in every hole and fucking her daughter in front of her isn't going to make her better.
That's right. Naomi wants everyone else to be just like her. When it comes to the MC, he's getting on my nerves because, like you said, when it comes to showing some teeth, he's not there. I'm sick and tired of that kind of MC's. His lack of spine infuriated me when it came down to dealing with Naomi. He himself admitted that she's out of control and he's under her spell.
I was like: "What the FUCK? Why the hell is it so difficult? All you have to do is say NO. That's it!"
At least he had SOME balls to confront her when she started messing around with Janet. After I saw THAT scene, the first thing that came to mind was: "Go NOW and put your damn foot DOWN."
His recklessness annoys me. He himself admitted that he's becoming careless. He's more cocky than brave. Like I said, he has SOME backbone like the time he stood up for Clare when the goons were gonna jump her or the time when he went into the cave with Alia. I don't trust Clare, I think she hates the MC's guts which is relatable to a small degree, but he did it.
And not only he realizes that treasure hunting will get him into trouble like dealing with Sofia and the law. But that's because he's more reckless than brave.
For some stupid reason, he doesn't have the same attitude when it comes to telling Naomi to FUCK OFF and show some teeth.
Yeah, like you this is one part of ToN that I myself don't like either. I'm tired of MC's being portrayed like this.
When it comes to Naomi dealing with her daughter it's the same thing. She wants her daughter to become like her.
I think she said once that Alia needs to get out, explore and meet new people which in translation means slut around.
When it comes to psychos, there are plenty of BOTH genders. Women psychos are NOT rare, they're just more manipulative. And they have a pussy pass
I don't think Naomi is a psychopath, but she's definitely not right in the head. If it were up to me when it comes to, like you said, the MC to man up and get her help, I wouldn't do a damn thing. I'm not responsible for her nor do I wanna be, thank God. That's HER problem. Personally, if there was an option to make choices in this game and choose to mess with Naomi, I'd refuse the MOMENT it showed up on my screen.
I'd do the same with Tasha. Her looks are a dead giveaway. Tattoos, piercings all signs of mentally damaged. Signs of "Emotional baggage". In my eyes, she's closer to a psychopath. She's confrontational, aggressive, spiteful and so on.
What she did at the warehouse scene in the end with the MC, I kinda laughed because I expected it from her based on what she said in her dialogue once. "I want accomplished individuals." That there was enough. She wanted a walking, talking ATM that would a provide a carefree existence for the rest of her life. She just wanted to win the lottery. The jackpot. The MC's the treasure hunter which means cash, and having the MC's kid will provide more cash. When she pushed the MC to the boxes I said to myself: "Yep, that's her plan explained in a few seconds."
