The idea behind Patreon is to generate a reliable income for the developer, i.e., keep the supporter's subscriptions rolling in steadily, in a dependable way, because developers are not paid based on the how much content they produce but by how many supporters they recruit and what their subscriptions are. That means producing content, on a regular basis, and drip feeding it to customers incrementally: if NLT produced a 10% update he would only get 20% of the return he could have garnered by releasing the content as five 2% updates, which doesn't make any sense from a business point of view. Plus in order to keep the quality up the content requires more care and attention, which isn't possible if things become rushed. Personally I'm amazed that the NLT Media studio produces as much as it does to be honest.
