Hmmm... The game events walk you through these things even explain these things... So how come this many folks don't know about this ?!? 
I'm guessing the fapping/reading is really out of balance !

I've been on this thread since the beginning of the game way back when it started. I don't feel the need to chip in with my two- penny worth every update. I do like to review the threads to see if there was any item I missed or if I have difficulty in obtaining a result for a puzzle thou. But this time was special, in that the number of incompetent people is starting to stagger belief! 500+ new threads in 24 hours of the new update being posted and over 250 were about how do I load it or its not working what did I do wrong!
I would like to thank oCATo for his helpful hints but come on pal, try to be less condescending will ya! You are taking a lot of these posts as a personal affront to your wanting to show that you have achieved something and are being anal in posting it to this thread.
I can now understand why Alpine Eagle and a few others of similar assistance stopped posting.
Anyway, rant over. Come on all you NOOBS read the first post in the op where you get the downloads from before posting for help!

I had no issues, everything is working just fine. Just re-download complete version. Maybe you missed one of the updates?

You are wrong, I had no problems. Your files are corrupted or you are missing something. Redownload complete version from here once available and you will have no problems.

The problems you are experiencing is most likely related to an update gone wrong, so let's try to fix it.
Answer these questions for me:
What version number where you trying to update from and what was the version number of the "update only"?
Was the version you where trying to update compressed or was it the regular version?
Was the "update only" compressed or was it the regular version?
This is crucial information to know if you are going to use the "update only" files.
The "update only" only works to update the previous version ie v71-v73. If you are further behind, lets say you are at v69, you will need to apply "update only" v71 first and then "update only" v73 or you will be missing files. As you can see the further you are behind the more work you need to do and getting the full update seems like the better solution. Mixing compressed and regular versions will also break your game so it's important to remember which path you have chosen.
When you are done updating I would recommend adding the version number and if its compressed to the gamefolder name if it doesn't already have it to help you remember.
