Just play the game, bunch of items are too expensive at the beginning but you do not need them!

Stone talismans are worth $10 but talismans can be made of other semi-precious materials: Jade and even precious materials: Silver, Gold, ... So a lot more worth/expensive...

You can also make a bit of money fishing.

So I need one more broken Key to craft the pirate key. As best I can tell the only broken key I haven't collected is in the upper jungle where the kayak brings. However there is a thorn bush where there should be a key and I don't know how to advance.
