And, after already making a decision to quit, are we to believe he won't abandon this project again? There were some issues with this but it was not a terrible start to a new game, it had potential and it was early enough that the dev could have taken it in a more interesting direction. It's a shame to see a project abandoned so quickly.
The Devs Patreon page is gone so the game is probably dead.

Agreed. I mean, perhaps not so much "ruining" the future sex scenes, per se, but... if there's any actual gameplay element (or even if it is just a kinetic novel), having an "imagined" (but visual and explicit) encounter with the person takes the challenge out of it. After all, how much difference is there for us, the reader/viewer? If all I wanted was rendered content I could go watch an SFM video. I'm always slightly disappointed if we "get the goods" almost right out of the gate. I even try to avoid the dream sequences if I can help it. The only exceptions I like are teases that you don't immediately realize are dream sequences. Like a character starts to suddenly come on to the MC, but before it gets too far they snap out of it and realize they'd been daydreaming. That at least acts like foreshadowing without giving it all away.
