i can understand that posing the characters and getting the environments right takes time but rendering is Zero.

Ehh, this is partially true.
You'll notice there's "normal screenshot" and "rendered screenshot."
You CAN just do screen captures and go that route, but if you render out at a higher resolution (which BaiBai does, he does 2560x1440) then it does take a little time.
There's also rendering animations frame-by-frame, which I'll admit I don't know how to do, but THAT would be the true time sink in render times, guaranteed.
But also yeah, setting up the scene itself is
far more time-consuming than rendering the scene, in any software, in my experience. I am always a little surprised when some devs talk about pure render times being a significant bottleneck for them, but BaiBai isn't one of them, and his use of the word "rendering" is accurate here.
