Well that's your problem, the dev has always been kinda clear with his weekly updates, maybe he was too confident with the timing but it can happen. I really think baibai is good with communication and stuff, like that one "mistake" can't throw everything to the trash but people tend to be extremists.

Sadly it is actually BaiBai's problem. He will not be getting a penny from me going forward. Agree to disagree, I am certain that this time next year you will have been let down many more times. If I am wrong I am wrong, but I doubt I will be.

Yeah this two month hole could have delayed v0.10...but I am sure it will find a way to get delayed several times anyway. Why should I value the sanctity of 0.10's release schedule when I barely believe it will ever come out at all? Fans are offering to help him finish the game faster, which he is refusing, so clearly he is not doing everything he can to deliver on the 6 months of subscriptions he has recieved for an update which he REFUSES to release even though it is basically done (if you believe him that is. I do not, I think the update is nowhere near complete and he knows it).

Bottom line, trust is gone and I am done viewing his updates in a favourable light.

That AVN release date estimates are hard deadlines is a naive one, especially coming from a paid supporter who claims "this website is LITTERED with scams". You should have known what you were signing up for: some tentative release date, likely to be pushed back, take it or leave it.

This is still a great title and one that I hope does get concluded as he mentioned he will. I'd sooner offer him support in the hopes that it encourages him than to post nasty words in the hopes that I get validation.

I was kinda hoping he would just release the current update as is and release a 0.9a/0.9b version when he can actually work on the game rather than this.

He's done it before where the second version was usually just to add sound so it's not unprecedented

Fair. I thought this game would be well managed. I was wrong and now I withdraw my support. I also enjoy this game but I have a strong feeling its days are numbered.

No game in life has no delays or setbacks in development. Even multi-million dollar companies like Rockstar with hundreds of employees on the payroll are always delaying their games. Asking an amateur dev for perfect development is of someone with very little empathy and unclear ideas.

It is really a bad timing to put a on hold to the game as the game next update is around 95+% finished, it would be way better to let the update come and then announce the news.
That said, you can't know when the real life is going to take shit on you, so all we have to do is to be patient, just don't know waiting for how long...

This website is LITTERED with scams. That is objectively true. Vigilance is the only reasonable response in my eyes. If you disagree then that is your right.

I find it extremely convenient and frustrating that BaiBai has adopted this 'I will never release an unfinished update" stance during the cycle in which it benefits him. His fans are frustrated, they have been (objectively) mislead for two months on the release schedule and NOW he just can't bring himself to release a beta?

I am not buying it. Insult me all you want. I am not calling BaiBai a scammer, but I think he has mislead his audience and poorly managed this project.

I just dislike people like you who just turn up in Threads to say that Devs are bad or that they are milking or anything. Far too many idiots like that here. And in fact, those are really your only posts in this Thread, you never wrote anything before here. Your first post is basically complaining.

And, I repeat - Baibai did not adapt this to benefit from it. He changed his stands on releasing things only when he is satisfied with it, because he was unhappy with how 0.8 turned out AND because it does not matter when it comes to the time he spends on the game. It is the same for him if he first fixes it and then releases it or vice-versa.

But thats again the point - you ignore things and spin your own version of it, instead of just accept what was written before (even in the Dev Updates).

Thats the thing - from the view of users on the forum, it is the bare minimum. But you cannot really say that all Devs do that. So from a Dev-standpoint, BaiBai IS handling this really well.

He tried, did not achieve it and then communicated and paused the payment. This is far more than most of the Devs here do, most of them will just stay silent for a few weeks or just make meaningless Dev Updates.

And... I mean, what should BaiBai do instead? Should he invite you out for Dinner to compensate for your wait time for a game, which you most likely get for free anyway?

I dont think it matters much. Because if he would have pushed out the Update right now, we would have an unfinished product and would have to wait for fixes until the end of October (at most or at least). And this also means that Development for 0.10 will not continue during this time.

So while it would mean having somewhat of an Update right now, it would also mean that we would have to wait longer for 0.10. So overall it does not really change much.

Nah, i just think pausing payments when you got nothing to show for it IS the bare minimum. Just because he's not a piece of shit and won't outright scam people does not make it praise worthy.

I suppose you have to perform your state mandated simping quota before disliking an update becomes acceptable. For what it is worth I reviewed this game months agao and gave it 5/5. Not sure why you are so angry and feel the need to be so toxic, but to each their own.

Imagine you are hungry, you hear a restaurant have great food but only the description of how good the food is, it may not make you think too much(for some who have great imagination may I guess). But what if you can actually see the pictures of the food by you eyes? Will it make you feeling more hungry and wan to try the food asap?
For now the teaser of 0.9 already making people's expectation too high, people want to play it asap, hearing the on hold news of an almost finished developed 0.9 will definitely make them more frustrated then hearing the on hold news of 0.10, which have no solid confirmed content but only people's imaginations, after they were satisfied by the content of 0.9.

Thank goodness I'm cured of all illness now, because all my favorite games on this site are updated once a year or every 6 months. I also have to say that I personally prefer long updates to monthly updates of 70 renders. But anyway, I distract myself with other irl things besides porn games.
