Not just her, pretty much all characters that where smaller than Alyvia have increased in height between v0.8 and v0.9. In general the heights have been pretty messed up from the beginning of the game and for the most part I scaled them up and down on a render to render basis depending on whom they stood next to so that it doesn't look to weird. I just fixed that after v0.8 for more consistency.

Kinda sad when a dev changes his vision over the course of development. We got used to initial characters and liked the game for it. Often happens with younger characters...
If we consider a loli as prepubescent (12 and less), if she's not supposed to be loli she's not far from it, 13 or 14 at the max. MC 15-16 and Alyvia 17-18. There is even a "skip loli content" option...
Not the end of the world, gotta get used to new design again.

Well, the main virtue of this VN is by no means Loli, so it's not a terrible loss. And let's not forget what a terrible age of censorship we live in. It's never a bad idea to be safe.

Yes, changing a character design is mid game is never optimal but I don't think I changed my vision for her. I simply kept having issues with her face, always made small adjustments from update to update and never was really happy with it and that's why I decided after v0.8 to just do a proper overhaul for it. Apart from that and a tiny bit more breasts volume, the biggest change is her height and that I've already been scaling up and down as I was going.

That sucks, I enjoy breast's as much as anyone but some variety is nice too.
MC also got taller over time. It is quite noticeable in v0.9 to be honest.
I mean, even if her boobs are a bit bigger, you cannot really say there is less variety now. She is far from the other women in this game.

Personally it's not because of realism, but because of deformity. I like curves but sometimes it's too much, and the bigger the better is a porn trope I don't condone.
Lots of girls in this game have (not realistic) big boobs, and it's ok. The mom's though, it's really too big for her frame to me. Every time I see her I can't not be distracted by how it doesn't fit. Too bad because everything else is damn good (except minor details), but I can overlook it.

The hight thing that you explained makes sensee, but Changing the chesticulars to the new size is just jarrring. while v.9 pic is well done, v.01 is far better. every char in the game is either large sized breast or huge. it be nice to have the char reverted back or a patch for those who prefer v.01.
I don't mind Emily getting bit taller. Chest size is still within reasonable limits compared to torso size, but the overly wide hips is boner killer.

Weekly development update
Alright, I'm officially all back into my regular development rhythm again.
For the past week I've been pretty busy trying to get the map done and I actually made some good progress with it having finished most of the indoor stuff, or at least, everything I'll need for v0.10 and a few things on top of that. There are still plenty of empty rooms but in general I only try to make what I actually need for every update so those can still wait some longer. I also made some decent progress for the outdoor part having mostly finished the basic structure of things but I did lose a lot of progress yesterday due to the scene data getting corrupted. That's not the end of the world but it is quite demoralizing having to do stuff again that was already done but I probably should have just saved a bit more frequently.
Still, I couldn't bring myself to touch the map again, instead I continued a bit with writing the scenes. Progress here isn't too much to talk about, I only finished the two morning scenes and they are quite a bit smaller compared to the morning scenes from the recent updates.
Anyway, I'll try my best to get the map done until next Sunday so that I have something to present you for the showcase. If I won't manage that I'll probably just do an preview with some of the outfits for v0.10 as there are some pretty nice outfits in my opinion. Especially being able to make some of those tight pencil-skirt outfits again after such a long time doing weekend stuff is quite nice.
