There's really no winning here, all of the content on this website is going to be under fire for as long as this goes on. If BaiBai chooses to continue as planned, it's highly likely he will get taken down and lose everything. If he chooses to change things, it will kill the momentum of the entire project and could still get taken down and lose everything anyway. If he chooses to just stop the project and hide until a hopeful better tomorrow, well, there's no saying when that would ever come.

I will say this though, as I was just talking about the bad pace of the updates beforehand: BaiBai really needs to lock in no matter what path he decides on. You're going to have to make sacrifices on your artistic vision no matter what you choose if you want to get something out consistently moving forward. This really goes double if you plan on starting over, it already took years to get to 0.9, don't make it take years to remake to that point.

It may be overreactions but they were able to force visa and mastercard which in turn forced itch and steam to get rid of all nsfw games off the website or at least delisted and from what I have heard they have or at least have caused some horror games to be removed as well. So they either have more power than people think or mastercard and visa wanted this as well and they using collective shout as a scapegoat or something similar. Stop killing games the UK censorship which something similar the US is trying to get through likely other stuff I'm forgetting it's likely all intentional too much is happening that connects primarily games and nsfw content. But let's leave it there unfortunately it's hard not to worry but everyone should try not to worry but most importantly gamers gooners ect need to fight back as we have been and not give up if we do we genuinely might be fucked as everyone knows give companies an inch they'll take a mile. It's not just Collective Shout and didn't start just recently, that's why such a small group had this effect. It's actually just the latest salvo in a long war.

Collective Shout could disappear tomorrow and there'd still be a lot of other groups pushing the same tactics.

Regardless of whatever, check if your country has any legislation about payment processors being able to deny access to its services outside of a lawful order, I think the USA had something on the works because only their FTC was supposed to enforce prohibitions or something. Unless you're in the UK, because I heard you're fucked if you are there with their recent regulations.
Otherwise this game and many of its kind will just silently change and/or disappear. I think Japan tried something recently, but it ended up being just a "heavy fine", which is nothing to those companies.

If this project suddenly starts to be remade I know I will give up on it. There is no keeping your head down in this, these people will try to censor and ban you no matter what you make. The fact it is an adult game AT ALL is the entire point.

They are just testing the waters to force more control on people and this is the weakest avenue they have available. Responding to them by cancelling or reworking is almost the worst thing you could possibly do. Don't change your plans and don't waste your effort on trying to appease them, they will never be pleased.

Best thing to do is just release the new update just as it was planned and continue to build patrons. Either they will win and the entire internet is doomed or they will lose and it will buy months/years before the next censorship wave. Just definitely don't give in and try to shift because by the time you got it worked out the goal posts will have shifted again.

I think there might be a need to clarify how such a remake would exactly look since I feel like you guys are imagining it worse than I intend to do it:

The biggest change and the only reason why I can't just do a rewriting of the script files to get rid of all the taboo dialog/narration for it to be patched into its original version later are the models and its probably the thing that would hurt most. They have to be changed to look like actual adults: MC bigger than Jacky. Stephanie, Viktoria, Cathrine, Emily, Lola on par with Alyvia and Mya.

Apart from that I wouldn't re-imagine the game, I wouldn't change the story in any massive ways. In fact, for the most part it would be exactly the same, day by day, scene by scene, even render by render with the vast majority of dialog and narration being one-to-one as it is right now. I'd need to put all the school girls at the end of Z-School, so I'd need to adjust some dialog here and there for it to make sense, but that would be pretty minor. I would also need to change the Cathrine corruption route for it so be consensual but I think to already know a way to do that by only changing a few paragraphs of dialog too.

The second big thing is obviously the whole incest thing and the more I think about it I don't think that I would want to go the landlady/roommate route for it. Instead my current idea is to do it in a way that all family characters are non-romancable in the official, non patched version. Meaning I'd develop a third route for Jacky, Alyvia and Emily where the MC has a platonic relationship with them and make these routes the only ones that is available in the official release. The other routes would stay the same as they are right now but would need to be patched in though an “unofficial fan patch”.

Now, of course this would take time and it would hurt a lot. Believe me, I don't want to do it either and still I think that it would be the best way to give this game at least a chance to ever see a satiating ending without having to fear being banned from one day to the next. In regard how much time this would take I wouldn't be able to tell. But if I can leave most stuff as it is right now and only have to redo it render by render it really shouldn't take an unreasonable time, especially considering how long even an regular update takes me nowadays.



If I could have I would have bet money on you showing up after this one.

I had an idea that might work for you, maybe finish up this episode and do a timeskip of a year or two to explain the change in models(if you go that route). You could even release it as a brand new game so you don't get impacted by all this nonsense.

Still looking forward to this game however it turns up though. You have a lot of support behind you mate, keep up the good work!

BaiBai listen to me, I think I speak for about 80% of people here when I say DON'T. REMOVE. TABOO. Its what makes your game unique. Don't get me wrong, the writing itself is incredible, but the taboo is the layer on top. Think of it like a cake, the writing is the base and the taboo is the frosting, sprinkles and filling. without it, the game would be just another generic love/corruption route Haram fiasco.

I mean for crying out loud, when is the the last time yall seen a smei-western game with lo*I in it?! Fuck man, I love this game. don't panic and do something you'll regret, release 0.10v and wait out for the storm to pass before making a decision, don't forget that we haven't lost the war yet, nothing is set in stone.

Haven't read the latest pages but i believe Baibai should complete 0.10V , keep it shelved until the problem is solved and start the remake.

If the problem is solved, released v10 and continue that version.

If the problem become permanent, then remake sadly.

Extremely sad if the game has to be wathered down before we get Cathrine development, not gonna lie. I think if a remake becomes inevitable then I think it's best if there is no remake, rather just release 0.10 and start working on 0.11 as a separate game with a workflow opimized for a censorship compliant version to be released on Itch/SS/Patreon and the original distributed elsewhere to subs.
If I'm not mistaken Honey Select allows for hot-swapping models in scenes so while it would be double the amount of renders it's not quite double the amount of work as they don't need to be completely re-posed?
I'm aware there would be extra work but I think this is far less risky than a complete remake of TM that will most definitely poison the essence of the game. Personally, I'd hate to see everyone aged up (mainly that I really don't like the proportions used for Jacky and Mya).

I've been waiting for Cathrine development for years....I'd be so sad

The corruption path of the crush will have a heavy focus on NTR.

There are no elements that would trigger NTR in this game.
The Harem process is very slow, as is the incest process from the previous version to this one. For those who played, you know that the content has changed little. I think DV is also stalling to see if it can gain more support, or they don't have the time to focus on the game. The game has only grown in dialogue and a huge amount of photos, but nothing that gives the player anything to say, "Wow, this has improved a lot." 14.6 GB was supposed to have hotter content, not as lukewarm as this one is.
If we compare the release date with the date of this last update, we see that the game has only grown in size and dialogue, nothing that raises the bar for hot sex.
