The biggest efforts to put are in making good characters using different softwares and animations.
Coding skills is honestly the last thing you need for a renpy game because it's really simple.
Except if you want to do a big sandbox...
Even if you want to do a big sandbox, there are relatively simple ways to do it without coding skills, and that won't take up a ton of memory... or you can go the HRelease route like with Straitened Times and make it super complicated, lol... But it's easy enough to make a low-complexity sandbox while keeping your logic very tight. It's more of an organizational skill than coding once you learn the very basic syntax needed.
