The only thing I can criticize right now is the duration of the update. It is too short. That wouldn`t be a problem if this was a completely new game, but if you do a remake the first upload should be the entire prologue till` reincarnation. Or at least have a really good scene like we had on the og ver. with Tomoe.

In the future, I hope the dev stops to forcefully push scenes with random npcs, and focus more on the main cast. And return Jeanne to the og skin, sorry but it was better and unironically fitting with how the story treats the futas, so far
(all in hell apparently).

Whenever koikatsu artists comes up with better textures, it gives an excuse to prolong patreon projects and milk out the subs. Instead of just finishing the game and coming out with a new one.

Honestly I thought the story was going to continue from the end of the previous build but have the new art or whatever. An entire remake seems unnecessary to me.

I knew this is gonna happen, you can drag out the length of the game until it’s finished which gives you an excuse to keep charging money. I’m predicting the next update will come out every 6 months again.

it’s a sad reality because the developer knows once the game is finished, most people will unsubscribe unless they continue a new project. This is a business.

I am a huge fan of the first iteration of this game and I think that as it was going it was doing really well but was running towards an end. I think that ending the project and starting on a brand new game would have made the most sense, as I love the content that this creator makes. Truly they do amazing work.

That being said, the content of this new update is giant donkey dick. Don't play and just wait until an update maybe 10months - 1 yr from now when (if) they go back to making content closer to the first game.

A remake, and this one weighs around 500 mb's compared to the previous version that already had 7 gb, that means that in terms of content it shouldn't have shit, and I liked perfectly how the original looked, plus I didn't really see many complaining about it, so if I see that it takes months to release the updates and still doesn't reach the point where the previous version left off, I will assume that the developer is just trying to squeeze money

I was expecting there to be tantrums when I noticed the "0.1 beta remake" in the title. I'm surprised by the people trying to be actually nuanced with their criticism instead of it all being the typical "ZOMG THIS GAEM IS A SCAMZ NAO!!!!!" bullshit. I respect the idea of remaking this VN, personally. It's been some time since this game was worked on and quite a few new mods have been added to Koikatsu, including things that probably helps the dev get something closer to the kind of visuals they want. It's obviously going to piss off the people wanting instant gratification when it comes to new plot, but the addition of a heaven path AND an expansion to the Hospital portion of the prologue seems really interesting and might be a way to satiate people wanting a bit of new stuff to come with the rebuilt old stuff. It's also nice to see hell be more than just an asset-free void. It shows promise, but I might stick to the last old version for now since I still haven't progressed too much in it and wait to see what the remake is truly like.

By the way, I'm sorry but I had to dunk on this whining quickly.

Well I'll check back on this game by 2026 if the dev is still working on it by then. Seriously this didn't need to be remade much like most of the more popular games on here. I whole heartily think Summer Time Saga will announce a remake by the end of this year before we even sniff the idea of the Judith update.

I'm sure it's been said already but I was one of those people who was all for the idea of redoing a good portion of the game to get it up to Snat's current capabilities but man. . . the words "full remake" instill a certain type of primal fear in me. Still, the first update actually dropped so that's a good sign, and if he can actually keep up his momentum then I'm tentatively excited to see where he goes from here.

Can't be worse than No Love's ""remake"", in any case.

I'll admit, I had a bit of a different idea when I recalled seeing in the old version that Snat was doing a remake(I had assumed he was only refining some older scenes, but not a full on remake). On the one hand I liked the sex scenes we got so far, though I do admit they go just a tad bit longer than needed. On the other, I'm a bit iffy on the stat mechanic, because as some have mentioned before me this causes the problem of having scenes be locked behind stats and in the worst case, having to replay(or rather reload and fast forward) through things to get back to where you were. Probably not the biggest issue, but I can see why some aren't too keen on it.

That all aside, I'm...cautiously optimistic. Given time this remake could be better than the original, but I'm pretty sure many have seen what has happened to some games that go through a 'remake'. Time will tell I suppose.

It's honestly very, very good in terms of a remake... a koikatsu remake at least. Normally those change nothing and just serves to milk money, not saying this remake is not to milk money but having more quality and a very good expansion of Hell/Heaven is very good.
Specially if we compare to the old version which had no really explanation of content to Hell/Heaven, this is good change of pace. Also, liked the new stat system, it's good that it can make you think what choices are worth.

I'm just unhappy with the ammount of content AND the fact that even if we left the futa/femboy option open we barely interact with a dick... damn boi, what's the problem of being gay if you drink some cum? That was such a juicy cock that was left to waste

Ngl, I'm having mixed feelings about this since I already knew it was gonna happen. On one hand I'm like "yes me horny, new smash smash update", but on the other hand (left) I'm not sure the game needed a remake, if it were up to me, I'd just finish the old game and create a new one to show us how you improved as a creator.

That being said the old version was getting a bit stale and I wasn't getting quite the primal urges as I was getting when I first played the game. It looked like the creator lost motivation, so I at least hope that's gonna influence the remake - a reinvigorated spirit.

But then again that could also mean he loses motivation quicker and the updates start becoming more boring and slower sooner than with the original build.

I'll come back with thoughts after playing, but I'll only change my good review if it was truly disgusting.
