Don't help Penny and buy her shoes. I don't know why it's a missing option, but I don't think it's a bug. I just don't understand why.

Except she sedated him to numb the excruciating pain of "one of the deadliest poisons in the world".
Ana's shock at him remembering it happening wouldn't make sense if he was only sedated. That and him having no memories of Samantha or Celeste's sister, why would his dad make a like-for-like android model and send it to marry a stripper?
Not even going to mention how he was broken free from the hospital by Jackie on her lonesome, like his billionaire father wouldn't have the son he's been dosing for a year under heavy security.
I'm of the opinion the mother took the original and the car wreck left him in a bad condition (anyone seen Source Code?) and to learn his wife's secret project, his father has been replicating him to unlock the secret. MK.24 went haywire and killed Celeste's sister, so Ana put him down, but that still doesn't explain why they use poison and not a kill-code like Nyah.

done that many times why mc has gotten tolerance towards tranqs.
"broken free" cause they wanted him and others to island.
it's a messy plot which will be revealed someday

Except the tranq was to numb the pain of the poison, so he did die. So if we are playing as the original as you suggest, why does he have phantom memories of a death of what we can only assume is a duplicate? Why would his father have allowed Jackie to break the original out of hospital to get him to the island and not just MK.2x?
Also can't wait for the explanation of why an android was roaming around Chicago with Cel's sister.

we might see that or not. only time tells.

I'm believing less and less about this having a nice little bow on it at the end. There's just a lot of plot reveals happening that don't feel planned out at all and more of "this sounds cool, i'll stick this in here". We're heading for a lot of "...but what about...?" or a massive exposition/backstory dump in an update.
The dad right now comes off as a one dimensional villain as well. Evil for the sake of evil even if it was the drug making him that way to the extreme. A good villain is someone you can almost sympathize with because they believe they're the hero in their own story and are doing things because they believe them to be good no matter who they have to hurt in the process. Right now I just don't see or feel that from him. Especially after this Bond evil guy speech.

You implied we are currently playing as the original because Aiden calls him son, you also seem to believe that the original was sedated and rushed to hospital before dying which is why he remembers Ana poisoning him.
I believe that the first MC we see is MK24, who is poisoned by Ana because he went haywire and killed Celeste's sister. We know he dies because the photos we discover in Ana's drawer show her standing over his body. I also believe the MC arriving on the boat is a repurposed version, which is why he has a fragmented memory of the death, but no recollection of Sam/Cel.
I guess we'll find out soon enough
I do like the idea someone floated about the father being dosed with u4ia and his goal is to crack his wife's work. His son is the key to that but neither know how to unlock it yet, so he has been using an android version implanted with the cognitives of his son to trial and error it out. Whether the original son is capable of helping or not, who knows? I don't see his mother just leaving her son with the ring, I think he was in the car too, maybe daddy dearest has a means of altering an androids memories...

She gives the ring back anyway and only took it to help the mc (and herself maybe too), so it doesnt really matter
It's probably because Geneva told MC not to do it and you went against her wish, all happening in the last release. As for why it's a missed opportunity this release, the logical explanation is because Geneva doesn't find out until this release.
It's not counter-intuitive at all. It's a Geneva opportunity, not a Penny opportunity. To help Penny is to go against what Geneva specifically told you not to do. And in case you haven't noticed, Geneva has a fiercely independent mindset and she is of the opinion that Penny is HER problem to fix, as explained in the latest release.

u4ia being in the same universe as Artemis, Chasing Sunsets and Fog of War with their sci-fi elements is the sole reason I can stomach the whole android plot twist. It moves too far from the previous narrative and makes everything too fantastic. Also, it kills 'the MC working at the hotel' sublot which I liked a lot, as who in their right mind would work for Synne after that? Imo, it's too early in the story to break the status-quo, and Drifty should've just kept to the whole drug thing, it doesn't get in the way of anything.
Step by step, Drifty's giving in to popular demand. But considering he's making it a choice rather then nuke FRs altogether, I don't lose anything, and other people gain.
