UNEXPECTED - Status Update #10
Hi guys!
Since the last update, we have passed a milestone that we consider a big one for us. We are very grateful that things are strongly moving forward and very pleased with your support. As you know, we made the PERSEVERANCE pre-introduction for you. We can say that that project has increased our creativity by opening our minds to many new beautiful ideas and designs and we will continue working to bring them to life. But today's topic is UNEXPECTED...
We've recently settled on the structural layout of UNEXPECTED's new content. We cannot resist the urge to constantly do better as we look at even the smallest subject. That's why we work diligently on everything and spend the time to get the story right. As you know, we said in our previous article that an event will be added to the name of XMAS and it will take place in the next update. We were asked "Will the Christmas event be in the story feed?" Answer: Although the XMAS portion contains elements from the story, it will not be in the chronological flow of the story we are telling. It's like an alternate story.
Apart from that, we are trying a few new techniques that we have already developed in our system. We are working to increase your visual and viewing pleasure even more. As you know, we are new developers in this business, we still have a lot to learn, and we have a great hunger to learn. As we make steady progress, we strive to create higher quality content each time and take steps accordingly. If all goes as planned, we hope to share the next update to UNEXPECTED some time in February.
We are very pleased with your feedback on the updated (revised) version and draw lessons from each of your ideas, which are very valuable and logical to us to support us and improve our game. Please keep sharing your feedback. And remember: We'll be posting the first status update for PERSEVERANCE in a few days!

I have a soft spot for people who stutter, I know it's odd but it's the truth. That said, I hope there's some closure to Herman's story, I'd love to see what he does with the money he receives from the MC.

Nice renders, but facial tattoos on what looks to be a non-criminal character are a total turn off for me. I am not anti-tttoo, but not on the facer, please. I am not wild about marking up breasts if the character warrants it, but usually it is a case of the developer loving tattoos and wanting everyone to have one regardless if it's character-appropriate.

I agree but If a dev wants to work on two games at least wait until the first one is halfway or more finished IMO.

Also, it would be better if both games were geared toward the same audience. Male protag games and female protag games tend to have different audiences.

Well, sure, but it's a good and bad thing. The good part is that as far as Perseverance goes, it can bring in a certain audience that was "rejected" by this game. NTR fans love female protagonists games as well, then you have the potential fans of lesbian content that could come in play.
The bad for me is that some fans hate female protagonists games and won't touch it, they're also frown on Devs starting other games as it splits the time of a game that they're actually invested in with a game that they're not. This game's momentum has been stopped, unfortunately, due to the existence of Perseverance.
Oceanlab, is also juggling two different fanbases with two different games. I'm interested in seeing how frequent this game gets updated.

Hey you described me to a tee. I don't necessarily hate female protagonist games, because obviously they have their audience. They're just not for me, which is a shame, because the preview pictures alone, for Perseverance, look great. But being that that is a game I will never touch, it's existence alone is disappointing to me, because of the longer wait times UNEXPECTED will have now. Especially with all of the other gems on this site that have been taking forever to receive updates. Adding this one on top of that certainly doesn't help my case.

Here I thought I'm playing a complete game. Guess version number 1.0 confused me. For now it doesn't look like much. Plot is just silly, some scenes just start and I'm not even know what's going on there, like some introductions were intentionally cut out, or never written (like after you go to bed naked). And it's about half hour long gameplay? After a year it's not very impressive.

It seems the Perseverance game or whatever it's called hi jacked this game in terms of priority.

I have opened the Perseverance thread, I have seen kinetic novel and NTR and I have included it in the ignore list. I don't need to know more about the game.

Still this game looked good in the opener, I had it's problems but the upside was there. That other game is just a easy thrill, minus the thrill. *with emphasis on the easy part*
This game has now probably lost it's momentum, which sucks because it's still on the new side.

What I have clear is that, in the case that I like this game enough, I will not pay them to develop the other one. (in other words, I'm not going to become a patreon even in dreams)
