Well, he's the only one at the moment. Something has to be sacrificed to make a harem.

I don't know how far you are, but developments in the last update seem to be setting up, at the very least, multiple polycules, and these seem to have the possibility of a full blown harem since at least two of them appear to be merging.

Not sure how far, but I did see some of those developing. But there are also one or more girls who had been cheated on and I could definitely see those going badly.

It was hard for me too, but I'm thankful to the developer that there is a harem option at all, or else I wouldn't be able to play the game as I wouldn't want to hurt virtual girls .....

That's the reason you need the little threesomes first: Ashley is working on Sara and Sara is agreeing; Nikki will also be working on Sara; looks like Natalie might have some plans with Roxy (not sure if 'cest will happen, though), and Nikki and Roxy have a strong connection as well; Yuki is on board with getting Carol in on things, and Carol's been with Yuki in the past. Connecting in Rachel, and the Yuki/Carol grouping might be difficult or you may end up with a situation similar to another VN that just completed this past year with some three or four girl choices, some two girl choices and some single ending choices, but maybe not the true full harem, just large groups.
